Reece Mooney and Stone Earle could be gone too
Cr1028 replied to cjones's topic in Mean Green Football
I have to imagine the coaches told him they are going with Chandler Morris and he was tired of getting messed around. He’ll probably head back to ACU in the hopes of winning that job in fall camp. -
Group of Five Coaches Ranked - CBS Sports

I’m not convinced that 35th is low enough. -
Who was playing QB at your first CFB game?
Cr1028 replied to Glory to the Green's topic in Mean Green Football
Yep, plus the fumbles and I have never seen before or since (not even at the youth flag level) a pair of quarterbacks complete more passes to the other team than their own. -

I was wondering when I posted mine if that nightmare was going to be someone’s first. That was difficult to watch even for us grizzled UNT vets. Worst quarterbacking performance I have seen at any level of football in the 40 years I’ve been watching it. -

I got the combo plate of Richard Bridges and Jason Attaway. -
Do we rent out the indoor practice facility to private coaches?

So has NIL officially moved into the AD?
Cr1028 replied to cousin oliver's topic in Mean Green Football
I figure if the AD is actually going to be running NIL then they should have NFL type contracts and if the P4 wants to buy our player, they have to pay him AND us to get him out of the current contract. -
You make a good point. I still don’t like that he said it publicly though.
-
Because you aren’t saying it is difficult to compete, you are saying you have zero chance. It is the same as Dickey saying “I hope President Bataille remembers how much we are getting paid for this game when she looks up at the scoreboard tomorrow.”
-
Very defeatist attitude. Maybe you feel that way in private but saying it publicly doesn’t exactly endear you to fans.

Oh I agree with you but our pal Tom likely thinks he owes us that last year of eligibility. He’s a bit greedy when it comes to young men’s lives and futures.
-
Where is @Tom McKrackinto complain about how he left us?
-
You are just looking for reasons to be pissy. He redshirted his freshman year and then played for us for 4 years after that starting 35 games in that span. He used his free covid year (after he had already served his 5 years to play 4 here) to go to one of the top 20 academic universities in the nation where was on the SEC academic honor roll. Great young man and I am proud to call him a North Texas alumnus.

Maybe that is why he and Mason were both at the spring alumni flag football game.

The Biggest Blowout Lost for Every Texas FBS Football Team
Cr1028 replied to Big Z's topic in Mean Green Football
I guess mathematically the Nevada loss was bigger but that Portland State loss was beyond words bad. -
Who gets credit for Harrell then? Also, you may want to revisit this article. https://syndication.bleacherreport.com/amp/2587478-how-record-setting-qb-with-video-game-numbers-finally-landed-fbs-offer.amp.html "Coach Littrell and Coach Harrell...out of all these coaches, they had faith in me to play at the next level," Fine said. "For them to take that shot on me, I'm forever in their debt. I'm going to continue working hard for them and for the University of North Texas." Hennesy has a good relationship with Littrell, and the two had been in contact about Fine and what he could bring to the program. Fine is hoping he can help turn around the culture at North Texas—similar to how he helped turn things around at Locust Grove. "I think I can learn a lot from Coach Harrell," Fine said. "He was so successful at Texas Tech running the Air Raid. I feel like he's the next big thing coming up with Coach Littrell. They are two of the best offensive-minded people in the country. "It's going to be a lot of fun learning from them. I'm going to be there soaking everything up and listening to everything they have to say." You’ll probably point to how he mentions learning from Harrell and how he will be the next big thing. Well, when you have WSU’s outside receivers coaching coming to be your quarterbacks coach and OC, you can only point to his career as a player which any quarterback coming out of high school would want to emulate. The point is, Littrell had the relationship with the coach, Littrell had the scholarship to give, and Littrell convinced Harrell to come to North Texas in the first place. Without Littrell there is no Mason Fine at North Texas and you can take that to the bank.

So in his time here, Seth Littrell signed a CFL quarterback, and two quarterbacks who were signed to the NFL as UDFA’s. Not bad.

According to whom? I’ve worked for in Austin and lived in the greater Austin area for over 15 years and I have never heard of Interstellar BBQ.

How was the Spring game? (new format & stuff)
Cr1028 replied to MAX KOCH's topic in Mean Green Football
How brilliant on his part if true. If he knew he was going to retire from football why not wait until you get added to a roster for the first college football video game in over a decade. Sucks for us but well played for him. -
I believe I see KD Davis and Jacob Brammer.

I don’t have Twitter. Could you share what was said in his replies?

You think he is heartbroken or feels a little better today? Maybe he is laughing at your puffed up chest from yesterday.

KSU was in the Elite 8 last year while we (with Tylor) won the NIT. If you are a college student with one year to play and national championship aspirations, do you stay where you are having just won a NIT title and lost your head coach or do you transfer to a team with a second year coach who went the Elite 8 in year 1?
