  1. I found this while scouring the internet. He might come here just so his boy can play as an undersized QB. Is Riley Dodge a college QB? Scout.com's Jamie Newberg just said on FSN's halftime show that he sees Carroll QB Riley Dodge playing another position in college. No doubt Dodge will be recruited as a receiver by many programs. But I wouldn't rule him out as a quarterback despite the fact that he doesn't have the prototypical QB size. He definitely has the smarts, accuracy and touch to do it. I could see Dodge playing QB for a program like Utah or Missouri where they've had success with athletic QBs in spread offenses. The wild card: Will his dad be one of the coaches recruiting him? Todd Dodge will seriously consider any Division I-A head coaching opportunities, especially if Carroll wins state again this season. I'm just speculating here, but it'd make a lot of sense for SMU to woo Dodge if new AD Steve Orsini decides to can Phil Bennett. That's a hire that would create tremendous buzz for the Ponies, and I guarantee Dodge could recruit offensive players and score a lot of points in C-USA. Riley Dodge might be able to start at QB for SMU right now. Posted by Tim MacMahon at 9:21 PM (E-mail this entry) | Comments (1)
  2. I read that Rice's coach called on Todd Dodge to come be his OC and Dodge recommended Applewhite.
  3. That is the best quote ever!
  4. Yea, you made me realize it wasn't the smartest post.
  5. If I was on the field, I'd see the sudden boost in attendance as beef with the coaching staff and not with the team. The players live off the fans and now they'l no that most didn't give up on them, just the coaching staff.
  6. Great Idea!
  7. Can you HONESTLY say that UNT would have EVER gone to a bowl game under DD without the Sunbelt? Let me answer for you, not no but hell no. Boise State would still be stompin our ass. The SBC was the best thing that ever happened to his coaching career. We basically beat up on I-AA teams for 4 years while they transitioned to I-A.
  8. I just have to know. Do any of you really think we would have had that much success without joining the startup Sun Belt?
  9. He has to say this, if he wants a ball his way the next 3 games.
  10. Besides, quite a few people said that SLC would beat us this season.
  11. Chuck Norris.
  12. She's my fave!
  13. ULM OC
  14. How does that work with grad assistants?
  15. Dale Hanson and ESPN both said fired so that is what I'm going with.
  16. Fired means fired. It said nowhere that he was reassigned.
  17. Haha, I love it.
  18. Well now it is time for all the talkers to put up or shut up. MGC membership and season tickets sales should skyrocket and attendance for the final game should be standing room only.
  19. I totally agree with this. Missed assignments, countless penalties, these have to do with the coaching of the O-line. You can hold or miss an assignment regardless of the play called. He is #1 on my hit list too. I think Brewster and Archie should definately stay, if for no other reason than being alumni and bleeding green. Bleil did a good job and should have a shot to keep his job.
  20. Disgusted by the Offense at Tulsa. I believe if he had fired the O-line coach after the stAte game that he may have held on for one more year. Best news for me is that there is no way the new coach will hang on to Harold Etheridge.
  21. I hope they hang on to Brewster and Bleil.
