I just can't believe that the Vandy guy played in one more game than Muzzy and he STILL got his shirt. Way to keep the BCS hierarchy NCAA, good job! Muzzy gets hurt on the first play of the 4th game and the Vandy guy goes on to play that and another game. It's crap. I read that originally the SEC denied the Vandy guy's request and then it was petitioned to the NCAA with a recommendation from the SEC. This I don't get.

We played Baylor away in '99 and lost. We did beat Tech in 99 in Lubbock. Also, the first home game that year was a lost to UNLV.

As a student, to me, the $30 fee is so small compared to the thousands I spend on tuition and fees every semester. If paying an extra $30 can build a stronger base of student support I am all for it. I am so sick of seeing people at our school wearing UT, ATM, and OU gear.

The point was not how they turn out, diamonds in the rough and what not. This point was ranked players coming in. Feb. 7 TD will ink as many ranked recruits as DD did in 9 years.

I disagree here because at the UT game it was more like the Truman Spencer show. I don't see how you can keep it close with lest than 100 yards of total offense. He rode 1 or 2 good recruiting classes and a few great assistants. When they went to other schools and th players graduated, his ship sank. I'l take TD.

Same old mediocre philosophy: Limp through the OOC schedule and try beat the Sun Belt. Ask Todd Dodge if he thinks they have a chance. He will say yes. If he said no, he'd be in the wrong business. Did you hear DD talk to the reporter before the UT game? "They would have to have a real bad game and we would have to play above our level" What exactly is our "level"? And how can you guys say that TD's level is the same as the old coach that we were so fond of?

Nope, because Woody and Roy Loren both transfered in last spring and played this fall.

This is the type of answer I was looking for. I'm not sasying that we will beat OU, not saying that you guys should believe it so either. All I'm saying is that there is now a chance. If the entire OU or UT team got arrested the day before the game, they could have found guys in the crowd to beat a DD team. He never coached to win or even believed that there was the slightest chance. This is the biggest reason that I believe a TD coached team will keep a closer score than a DD coached team. My early prediction until spring ball hits will be 35-17 OU wins which is way better than the 56-7 whoopin we took in Austin. Now, if I'm incredibly impressed by spring ball, that prediction most likely will change in our favor, especially if Stoops were to leave Norman.

Haha, good call JD! I just don't get the naysayers. The biggest part of success is to first believe that success is possible. Darrell Dickey never believed. Tood Dodge is a believer and so am I. We will no longer show up to lose. It is good to be green.

That plus the black jersey incident, constant fan slamming, complain about his "situation", and the PROOF from the DISD that UNT recruiters had not been on their campuses in YEARS! If any of us blew off our job like that, we'd get canned faster than we could pack up our stuff. If George W was to suddenly have a heart attack, do you think the anti-war public would just say it is ok because of his health? It just so happens that UNT was bad in '05 too before his health got bad. The man has no excuse, oh wait, I forgot, he has himself.

I hate to break it to you but they are 3rd and 4th teamers for a reason and OU couldn't beat BSU with their first team. If you think it will be so bad, why not give your prediction of the score vs. OU's first teamers this coming Sept.

Oops, thanks Q. I'll fix that. So much negativity here, it's like we have a few DD fans left. The man is gone. The "experts" said there was no way Boise State could hang with OU and look what happened. I promise you this game will be A LOT closer than the game at UT. I was there, we played like crap, couldn't tackle worth a damn, couldn't stop a freaking fake punt, and just had the Darrell Dickey ideology that we don't have a chance to play with these boys, we're just here for the money. Do you realize that we only beat then by 4 more points than I-AA Sam Houston State? I didn't say we would win, I said we could hang with them. If you expect to lose, you will always fulfill your expectations!

Wouldn't it be nice to shock the world in September? With Thompson and Peterson gone, what if Stoops moves to the NFL? Maybe the idea of us hanging with OU isn't as far-fetched as most of you once thought.
