Also, with all the injuries Meager has sustained over the years, do you really believe he can make it out of our OOC schedule with this patchwork o-line? Could it be possible that TD doesn't want to do to GV what DD did to DM in throwing him to the wolves? It doesn't make sense to throw a kid that played his last high school game 9 or 10 months ago up against one of the top defensive fronts in the nation. He could take way too much punishment.

Man I'm gonnna miss him. He could make something out of nothing at times. I'll always remember him for the win against SMU and for throwing the first TD pass on UT that I can remember. I was watching Jamario's recruiting videos from scout and rivals the other day, and NOBODY could tackle the guy. It was incredible! Just flat out raw power and speed. I wish DD had done something besides run him into a brick wall the last two seasons.

If any of you saw the Ravens/Eagles game, Barnes from FIU was playin very tough. Also, the safety from UL-Monroe, Payne that plays for Chicago had a interception go right through his hands. I wish he'd have made the play. I always root for the Sun Belt boys.

I totally agree. Tortillas all over the field look like crap. Getting hit in the back of the head with one sucks too. Those poor cheerleaders ducking and diving. I will take a disciplined program with closed pratices that wins over a piss poor program with open practices anyday. If I remember correctly, OU was having closed practices too while they find a qb. FIU and MTSU with spies? Ha. Although, there IS a certain coach 30 minutes south of Denton that may be willing to do whatever he has to not to lose to NT again with his job on the line. OU can't afford another TCU or Boise State occurence. FAU and on will have film on us from the OU game and possible the SMU game. These two programs have nothing to gain by beating us and everything to lose if we beat them. Respect the coach's wishes and stop whining. It could be worse, we could still have Darrell "8 in the box" Dickey here. I hope closing practice will drive more people to the away games.

This is the Hartfords we went and watched the Sun Belt championship basketball game at. A good place with good people and the other patrons seemed nice as well. Some guy (non-North Texas) told me congrats after we won when I walked by wearing my green gear. It was nice.

Maybe I'm missing something here. Isn't the media that posts the practice schedule and not the coaches? Isn't there a sign on every side of the practice fields saying practice is closed the media and visitors? Wasn't it posted here and on meangreensports.com that the scrimmage would be closed to the public? Weren't there people on this board that ignored the closing and stated they would go anyway? I don't see a problem with the coaching staff, I see the problem with the media and visitors. If practice is closed, it is closed, don't expect it to be open until they state it to be open. Wait for a coach's confirmation. You want to watch some dodgeball that bad? Watch the spring game until your eyes dry out or load up on OU tickets. Don't take your inability to respect the rules out on Coach Dodge.

I see 2 NFL players on the '03 team, one of whom that was taken in the NFL draft. How many on the current squad have a shot at being drafted? I'm not discounting the current team's ability to be great but you really have to look at the difference between the offense we had with the one we have now. The defense was responsible for quite a few of those 26 consecutive conference wins.
