  1. I didn't mean in general, just one person.
  2. I went from excited to disappointed with one sentence.
  3. Jerry Jones would sign him mid-season.
  4. Good call. I didn't think about it that way but you're right. I really don't think they care what we think about those who work in that department and various other things.
  5. I was excited until I saw someone got a promotion instead of termination. I hope they do send out those surveys on our opinion of the athletic dept. I doubt I'll have any space left when I'm done.
  6. I love this hat and wear it often.
  7. I thought the waterless urinals were supposed to be top-notch? Do you miss pissing in troughs and on walls? Come on man.
  8. I don't know why but it just feels strange that I have been in those seats behind him recently to watch a game. That picture is 40 years old. Wow. Fouts sure hasn't changed much.
  9. I hope they mean more people overall and not affirmative action where you take less qualified people based on race. I will never agree with that stuff. You hire the most qualified and the best person for the job no matter what they look like.
  10. If I remember correctly, that game was touted as the nation's worst offense vs. the nation's worst defense and a pillow fight of the week.
  11. Vizza won't leave without Dibrell. I think Vizza is a 4yr starter and Dibrell is a 3yr(4 if you count the last few games last year).
  12. Maybe even some Steve Warren. I met several coaches last night and they really do put out a family atmosphere. I am truly excited about this coming season.
  13. I was just lashing out at all those who criticized the students for not showing up to the WKU game.
  14. How can that be? I've been told time and again that the students are close enough to Denton to have the game mandatory for them. Attendance should be fine if you force the students to return to Denton before their break is over.
  15. I thought Arlington voted to build the stadium and that it didn't have to do with the city council.
  16. I'm just glad we don't have to listen to the "greatest team ever" b.s. anymore. There is still only one team that went an entire season undefeated. YAY!!
  17. If you take Jamario out of the 2004 class it takes a nosedive. This class has better quality overall.
  18. If there aren't "premium" seats then why do you spend so much time whining about price increases instead of moving a couple sections over and not having to fuss over it?
  19. I don't think you'll have to worry. They will fill up just fine. Now if you're interested in filling a section, A could always use some help.
  20. The first 2 bolds I don't agree with. 50 yd line seats are not supposed to be for the "general" fan. This is why they cost more than other locations in the stadium. Now that enough people want to attend games, they are raising the prices to move general fans to adjoining sections and put the high-rollers in that section. I just don't understand why some people think that section E is a right. The last bold is just crazy. If we were to join the BCS tickets would be $500 a piece before you even donated to the MGC.
  21. try an $850 donation and $300 per ticket
  22. That was a quote from last year. Most likely ticket sales will be as good or better. With our highest average attendance in several years this, one of the best recruiting classes in recent memory coming in, and the comeback of Deloach, I find it very hard to believe section E will not sell out and D will probably also. What if a family of four is willing to spend the money on tickets and donations to get seats in section E but none are available because you bought 16 "extra"? I like what they are doing. Prime real estate should cost more.
  23. The math isn't flawed. It is like a tax bracket structure. Those that make/want more shall pay more. This isn't to discourage attendance, it is to discourage a monopoly on seats in the best sections of the stadium. 20 seats in section C? $2000. I don't think Mandy wants the "average fan" in her sections anymore without putting up above average dollars. Although it is admirable to bring extra to the game to boost attendance, have you ever noticed at other sporting events they put them in the most economical seating areas? You can beat the system, you can get your buddies to go in there and buy your tickets in 5 seperate purchases or you can pay full boat and get extra priority points. Does section E sell out? Answered my own question and yours. Supply and demand, when demand exceeds supply, prices rise. Give out free tix in the poorer sections.
