  1. Since we are dreaming big maybe we can get Wade Phillips of Jason Garrett after they get fired. There is no way a high-level nationally recognized BCS conference coach is going to come and coach in the Sun Belt unless he is washed up like Schnellenburger or has run a great program into the ground like Larry Coker or Guy Morriss(great program used loosely here). Maybe we can pick up Kevin Steele or Francione?
  2. 100% agree. Excluding Hayden Fry, North Texas is where FBS head coaching careers die.
  3. They also haven't put up the Clemson game or coach's show audio this year yet.
  4. I'm not a mooch. I gave my season tickets away for one game the past two years and was hoping that someone might be willing to spare a ticket. I will buy a GA ticket if I need to but I thought my generosity might have brought me the good fortune that someone might have an extra.
  5. I know/knew 2. One has both graduate and undergraduate degrees from Rice. He is a very smart economist. The other was a Rice dropout(scholarship ran out before enough credits to grad) who just happened to be one of their qbs in the 1990s. He wasn't the brightest bulb but a real nice guy.
  6. I just need one ticket. The section doesn't matter. I was going to get GA online for $10 but they charge a $3 service fee so I figured I might as well just get a ticket at the gate. Anyone that has an extra that they would let go for less than $15 I am interested. PM or email me.
  7. I was noticing that too. Very poor pursuit angles.
  8. Looks like #46 Julian Herron, the transfer from SMU.
  9. I"ll take option 2. We are terrible until proven otherwise. I'll say 54-7 for Dabo's Kevin Steelers.
  10. Danny Pearman Combination of: Police Chief from Super Troopers The Dude's landlord
  11. I like this helmet. I'm tired of the white helmets and I"m against putting the SOW on our helmets. If we were nationally recognizable, then fine, but we aren't. The only way I know a Maryland is in a game is seeing Terps on the side of their helmet. With the SOW on our helmet we are old school Philly look-a-likes and go by the name Northern Texas or Northern Texas State. I say keem NORTH TEXAS on the helmet!
  12. I know I would. Heck, I'd cover myself in brown mustard and relish, I'd be so delicious. Then I'd top it off with a tall cool BUDWEISER.
  13. I truly believe the Belt is stronger than the Boiseless WAC. I'd take the MUTS or TROY to dominate anyone in the newly weaker WAC. I don't know if any of you have watched any football in the last few years but believe Boise went undefeated in '08 but did not get into the BCS and Utah did. The reason? The perception that Boise walked through a WEAK conference. Why the hell would we want to leave a weak cocnference for an equally or even weaker conference that involves about twice the travel? The WAC proponents on here are promoting change just for the sake of change. Thanks Obama. Ughh .
  14. I'm waiting for Denton to move closer to Austin or a divorce. Outside of those two I won't be up more than a couple times a year.
  15. no longer a season ticket holder
  16. McPherson is a good guy. I believe he did his undergrad work at Virginia so I guess he has more of an allegance to the Cavs over the Spartans. From what I remember he is a Redskins fan. GreenStreet and I had a class with him (Denis Hopavac was in that class to coincidentally) and McPherson was willing to sponsor us in starting a new Football supporting club somewhat like the Talons because a faculty sponsor is required to start any new club/organization apparently. We didn't follow through because we were too busy trying to graduate. The most diehard Mean Green fan professors I recall having were Michael Nieswiadomy and Marcia Staff.
  17. Get the dead horse out again. TTG, you used to be funny but it is time to call in Jim Rome's manual buzzer.
  18. Any super-sleuths know what he did for the 2008 and 2009 seasons since he was a HS senior in '07?
  19. From the system website, what a joke it is that they devote our vital resources for LJ's flailing pet project.
  20. Who? The sitting board of regents back in 2002? You do understand that the chancellor is appointed by the board of regents, right? You also understand that the regents are appointed to 6 year terms by the governor, right? You would also understand that the one you are slinging mud at was in office for less than 2 years when Jackson was hired, right? You are a well educated UNT alumnus so you would use that intellect of yours in concluding that it would be VERY unlikely that all 9 regents on the board Sept 1, 2002 were appointed between Dec 21, 2000 and that date. C. Dan Smith, a UNT alumnus is the only person still serving on the board that was around when Jackson was appointed. You can say that your target's appointees have not fired Jackson, but you cannot say that they solely appointed him.
  21. I just want to say that I feel that this UNT Dallas business is a terrible thing for UNT Denton. Guess where the system offices of the other D1A schools in Texas are. Texas in Austin, Texas A&M in College Station, Texas Tech in Lubbock, and UH is in Houston. We have ours in Dallas just like FCS Texas State has their system offices in Austin. For you conspiracy theorists, Jackson has his Masters of Public Admin from SMUt. I guess he wanted to move the University closer to his cronys. Does he really give a rat's (you know what) about OUR university? I seriously doubt it. He is collecting his fat cat paycheck livin it up with his Dallas SMUt pals. If we end up like ULL and ULM(I know they didn't start out with those names) and seriously start having to use the name UNT Denton or University of North Texas at Denton or just strictly Denton, I will disown this University and whatever sorryassed system it is a part of at that time.
