  1. Only if he picks up the phong and finds the next Michael Trabtree. Oh what a day. A phong is ringin.
  2. Anything is a bit over the top. I doubt Ramon Flanigan or Hal Wasson would excite the fanbase or the team.
  3. Conversely, we could be back at the FCS level with nothing but Fouts Field in our future, a basketball team that was still bad, no new AC, or any Title IX achievements. Like you said, we just don't know.
  4. I like Brandin Byrd's old school look with the long white socks and white shoes.
  5. The Dallas Cowboys, Texas Longhorns, and to a degree the Oklahoma Sooners, saturate this top 10 market you speak of. Very few of our famous alums even acknowledge our existance. I can't think of any besides Joe Greene. I haven't heard Don Henley, Norah Jones, or Dr. Phil doing anything that even mentions NT.
  6. I don't think you quite get it. Picture this: You suck at your job and your boss is on your a$$ about it. You know it isn't working out and want to quit to avoid further embarrassment. Not only do you give up your future salary but you have to come up with $200k out of your own pocket just to get out of your contract. Anyone with sense or less than a few million dollars in the bank wouldn't quit in that situation either.
  7. The ULM win because that was the only one I witnessed in person.
  8. "If I am here for the next five games..." Interesting.
  9. Turner Gill did great things in Buffalo. I wouldn't be opposed to him coming here.
  10. I doubt a resignation will come. I wouldn't resign if I was him. It will cost him almost $200k to resign because of how his contract is written. RV has to make the move.
  11. I'm watching this disaster online and it seems the crowd is looking eerily similar to the crowds at the end of Dickey's tenure. This is not the showing you want to have on homecoming. I can understand injuries affecting our caliber of athlete on the field, HOWEVER, it should NOT affect the discipline of the team. Peanalties start and end with the coaching staff. I'm sorry Mr. Mosley. I'm am very grateful for Micah coming to my alma mater but I can no longer stand behind a coaching staff that has this many penalties every week.
  12. I have to agree with this. As disgusted as I have been with losing, you have to admit he is right. It is clear that Deloach has made leaps and bounds with this defense. That is clear. Special teams has improved significantly. I think the biggest fault was TD's pride wouldn't let him give up the reigns to the offense until this year. I am convinced with a little more Canales we can get this thing done. I hope we win out and this staff gets to stay. I am very hopeful we don't have to sit through a year like Dickey's and Dodge's rookie year in our first year in the new stadium.
  13. This section was probably added because they expected he would be really successful here and would pull a Brian Kelly/Rich Rodriguez and not coach us in whatever bowl game he took us to.
  14. He will be looking for a job and he is pretty "high-profile". He has coached a "big-time program" in North Texas. Why not? He is a really good defensive coach. He is a bigger name than anybody else we could find. He is on national television EVERY week and on the Dallas radio EVERY week. He also knows a bunch of wealthy folks.
  15. The only team I wear gear from is UNT. They are my primary rooting interest. As a kid growing up southwest of Houston, everyone in elementary school was an Aggie or a Longhorn. I chose Aggie because my dad went to fire school there. Once I stepped foot on NT's campus, I didn't cheer for Aggie again. I do usually follow Boise State and cheer for them simply because I want them to bust up the BCS. I don't really care about that school, I just hate the BCS so much that Boise winning indirectly helps our chances of someday having the ability to play for a national title. So I only cheer for Boise (and TCU or whatever midmajor is undefeated) because it helps NT.
  16. Boy, we do have some dreamers in this fanbase, thats for sure. For those of you "it has to be a big name guy", I would like to invite you all out to eat at Ruths Chris Steakhouse with $5 in your pocket and no other form of payment.
  17. How about Tom "Bones" Malone and "Blue Lou" Marini? Maybe they can get the band back together for one night only. We're on a missino.
  18. I like it. It was very clever and I got a good laugh out of it.
  19. A positive to think about this is Arkansas State will have ZERO film of Chase Baine. They are as clueless as the rest of us on his abilities.
  20. Should $1M+ Will $500k or less For should money, you can get a name has-been coach or a current big time program coordinator or assistant. For will money, you can get a has-been/never-was mid-major coach or a currently successful mid-major coordinator or assistant.
  21. I still like Deloach. After the nightmare Mendoza left over, he has made great strides. Gandy and Peterson are great recruiters. I feel Peterson should be moved back to offense though. Gandy has done a great job with the backs too. Clean house other than these.
  22. I thought I had read marijuana was involved.
