  1. My mistake. That's what I get for trying to read so late.
  2. Please post up when you guys choose a bar.
  3. Just talked to Champion's, they said our game is internet only and they won't be able to show it. I hope you guys have better luck or I'll be enjoying it from home with George and Hank.
  4. Nice to see several Austin alums on here. Wherever any of you find it available, please post it up so we can make a list of our options.
  5. I was going to call Champion's SportsBar Downtown and see if they were carrying it. They are usually my best bet. I caught the Alabama game there last time.
  6. I think the roster is incorrect because the FIU game notes show him as a senior. He took a redshirt in 2007. 2008=RSF 2009=RSS 2010=RSJ 2011=RedshirtSenior
  7. For those of you who are upset about this, keep in mind that Kyle White is the only one getting more than a semester of two of scholly. The other two are Srs. so Mac probably decided to reward the guys when he had extra schollys because they weren't being used.
  8. Haha Rick! You got me. It will be a boy. North Texas recruiting class of 2030.
  9. This is my problem as well. Time Warner is the only one that does it this way which sucks for the Austin area people because they are the only cable provider outside of satellite. I wuold love to travel to Miami but with a wife who is eight months pregnant, my travel options are quite limited. I'm lucky I will be able to make the home opener. I'm hoping that it will be on ESPN Gameplan or something at a local sports bar, otherwise I will have to see it through George and Hank's eyes.
  10. Hays Rebels beat the Akins Eagles 42-7 at Bob Shelton stadium. It was strange how similar the view was to catching a game at old Fouts(I hadn't seen a HS game in almost 10yrs). Boone Feldt was bigger and stronger than anyone on the field. He just overpowered his man. He got flagged for holding a couple times but only because he drove his man 30yds from the play. It looked like he lost his cool once because he drove his man from the middle of the field all the way to the sideline and then on his back. The kid he drove laid there a few minutes before getting up and limping to the other sideline. He got sat on the bench for the rest of the half after that play. I like his intensity. He is a solid recruit and once Wintrich and Simmonds get ahold of him, he will be a 4yr starter. Another kid impressed me too. He is just a sophomore but is a 6' 226lb DT(in a 3-4 defense) who goes to the whistle on every play and shows no fear. If he stays in the weight room the next 2 yrs, he could be a big time recruit too.
  11. Are you guys aware of any way to watch the FIU game other than ESPN3? Will it be broadcast on any pay-per-view cable systems so I could catch it at a bar? Will Mean Green Premium carry it? I want to watch it but I am not going to pay Time Warner $60 a month for hundreds of channels I won't use just to get access to ESPN3.
  12. Dang! AK is built like a truck.
  13. Light years better than SLC unis.
  14. Different green without the glitter paint. I like it.
  15. Texas already broadcasts in spanish down here in Austin. I actually enjoy listening to it over our alumnus Craig Way. It burns me that he bleeds orange doesn't want anything to do with us. They called Colt McCoy "Pistolas McCoy".
  16. Hays High senior center Boone Feldt, who was a member of his father’s 2009 Class 2A Division I state title winner at Pilot Point, said he’s been impressed with his Rebel teammates.
  17. Maybe BK stole RV's backpack and that's why he didn't get in.
  18. That's just what they call it so people have a better grasp of where it is located. Yes it is called Jack C. Hays High School but Rosenberg Terry is actually called B.F. Terry High School. They probably refer to Lehman with a reference to Kyle too. BTW, I'm a resident of B-YOO-DAH. I'm going to convince myself that my wearing UNT gear around Buda was the reason that the Feldt brothers came to UNT. You don't see any SMU or Cougar gear around so I guess I'm the only one who wears anything that isn't UT down here.
  19. The University of North Texas System issues state debt for its own projects with approval from the Bond Review Board. The debt it issues is self-supporting. The debt on the stadium is issued by UNT on the state's behalf. The anticipated revenue from the new dedicated athletics fee is what is securing that debt. The athletics fee returns to the state and funds the bond. UNT is just an extension of the state, just as all state public universities and agencies are. Universities have to submit a budget request just like everyone else. The University collects the money, sends it to Austin and then it is appropriated and sent back to the university.
