  1. A Padron gave us the shaft and now SMoo is giving a Padron the shaft
  2. Saw he transferred to Coffeyville. We used to get quite a few out of that CC.
  3. I hope he sticks to his committment to FSU. I'd rather not listen to the blowhards down here on Austin radio yapping about how Texas gets the best recruiting class again.
  4. If you saw someone in your office molesting a child, would you put it on your boss to call the police or would you accept the responsibility yourself? I don't understand how you can equate McQueary and Paterno. Yes they both sent the problem up the chain of command and let it go but Paterno did not see these heinous acts. If he had, I find it extremely hard to believe he would've sat idly by.
  5. If only Scott McQueary had the fortitude to stop the situation he witnessed and go directly to the state police, maybe people wouldn't look upon JoePa so unfavorably.
  6. Wow, didn't realize you couldn't say q*u*i*t*e, it becomes tranfere, I guess because we cannot say q*u*i*t*t*e*r anymore?
  7. You are making an assumption here. The Texans split the series with them last year. Arian Foster went for over 200 yards in the game they won against the Colts.
  8. I love Chico's passion! I didn't notice McNulty in the video. Isn't he our red zone quarterback? I saw a nice pass from Osborn to get us in the red zone but nothing after that.
  9. If the Texans had a decent healthy quarterback, they would've beaten the Ravens. Arian Foster and the defense both played well enough to win, Yates just threw too many INTs. I don't understand all the hate for Houston. I guess it is because Wade Phillips came in and turned our defense around(even without our top pass rusher). Oh and we would've been to the Super Bowl with the Oilers if Bud Adams wasn't such as scumbag.
  10. Great post KRAM! I admire your nephew's attitude. When I left my previous job, there were some folks upset that I would be moving to a position on the same level that it took them 20 years to obtain. It took me a year and a half. Others were upset because they had been there 10 years and I would be making more than them and holding a higher position. The reason they didn't get hired instead of me? I applied for the position and they didn't. Advancement doesn't usually fall into your lap. You have to go and get it.
  11. Valid point but answer me this: how do you avoid a Congress full of millionaires if getting elected typically requires a large amount of money for staff, advertisements, and travel expenses? Fundraising will only get you so far which is why those in Congress are typically rich when they get there.
  12. You haven't spent much time in the halls of the Texas Capitol during the Legislative session. Have you ever heard of someone nicknamed "mucus" because his initials are MQS? It is because of people like him that I'm glad we have a legislature that is not full time.
  13. I don't agree with you on the class you're born into is where you stay. I'm a first generation college graduate. I have a good job and already make the same income as my parents. I will be better off than they were and I hope my son ends up better off than I am. I do agree that there is a problem with the wealth in Congress. Congress wasn't supposed to be a full time job originally. It was supposed to be like our Texas Legislature where citizens represented other citizens part-time while maintaining their primary career at the same time. I wish we could get back to those days.
  14. Happy to see 2 commitments from my HS alma mater to my college alma mater.
  15. Isn't the "American dream" to become as successful as you wish, including becoming a multi-billionaire CEO? Don't people come to America for the opportunity to become Sam Walton or Papa John? There are many who started small businesses just like these 2 success stories but failed. These two were just more successful and perhaps a little luckier. Don't dismiss people as having bad intentions just because they achieved a certain level of success that others didn't. The only difference between many in "the 99%" and those in the "1%" is just a little luck.
  16. Thanks man, I was hoping somebody would make the connection. For those unfamiliar with the movie, please enjoy the following clip. Oh, and it is a weekday.
  17. Slow? Maybe. But a 6'4" 232lb qb in the Sun Belt could be dominating.
  18. If he becomes a problem, he will just go the way of Darius Carey.
  19. Derby to transfer from Iowa You think Mac wants another Iowa qb?
