  1. Our most talented quarterback did not get injured while standing on the sideline.
  2. Thanks Harry. That video still gives me chills. Regardless of the scoreboard, it always makes me feel good when people talk about how hard-hitting our defense is. I'd like opposing skill position players to fear being hit us and drop or fumble balls because of it.
  3. I think it is time to bring this video back(especially from the 3:03 mark) and play it for the players before this week of practice and directly before we take the field against FAU. They need to be reminded of how great they can be when they play hard-hitting defense and dominant special teams. We are down this year but we aren't far off. McNulty or Dajon will get in a groove and the Jimmy show is always great. Let's get back in the win column and knock around some Floridians in the process.
  4. I'm going to miss Akunne, he is a stellar player. I am really going to miss Lee because he is our hitman. He brings the wood like nobody else.
  5. My concern is that we didn't bring the house when they were punting out of their end zone. It seems like last year it would have been a foregone conclusion.
  6. I still like Thrilly D Williams.
  7. Jeffrey, Jeffrey, Jeffrey, Jeffrey is the jet.
  8. Darius Terrell doesn't seem like he gives max effort to me. He'll run his route but if the ball isn't placed where he needs it, he just kind of gives up. Kidsy and Harris were out there playing DB on some plays and it shows that they are going all-out all the time.
  9. Front 7 got manhandled. I remember in high school practice when somebody got trucked like that we'd yell "weight room". Our front 7 need to get over to Kevin Patrick and the cafeteria double time.
  10. There was a guy walking into COTA wearing Mean Green gear as I was walking out and I gave him the eagle claw hand sign. Just wanted to say hi if you are on the board. I know sometimes in the past for me it was hard to tell if someone was saying they were Mean Green too or just busting my balls. Just wanted you to know I'm Mean Green too since I didn't have NT gear on at the time.
  11. Haha. Travis that was funny. I think we are of the same stature.
  12. In the highlight tape he looks like he has great instincts and throws a great deep ball. His speed is not as good as I had thought based on the comments about dual threat on this board. Most of his runs everyone just seems to be jogging, even the defense.
  13. I'll be at a wedding so I'm out again. I will catch up with you at least one game this season though.
  14. I genuinely feel bad for the kid. He wants to play but the body just won't let him. It's a shame. I thought he would've hung it up after last year, it just isn't worth the risk. He shouldn't have even been playing.
  15. I wonder if in all the excitement that Vito forgot we lost to LaTech.
  16. I hope they give him some reps against our number one defense because they are just as good or better than Indiana's defense whereas Nichols D is likely not representative of any team we face the rest of the year.
  17. He heard Dajon was starting and couldn't take it.
  18. @MeanGreenFB get hacked? If not, awesome news, surprised it was announced on twitter though.
  19. An interesting stat. If you add Greer's 68.7 QBR to McNulty's 22.1, you still aren't halfway to Williams' 189.0. Does this mean that Greer and McNulty put together still aren't half as good as Williams?
  20. I was looking at ESPN's qb stats just to see how bad our qb situation really is. Of quarterbacks with at least 14 attempts per game(qualified), Josh Greer ranks dead last with a QBR of 68.7. Dajon Williams only has 7 attempts in 2 games so he doesn't qualify but if he had, his QBR of 189.0 would be the 6th best in the nation. The stats: Josh Greer 48% completion pct ranks 120th out of 124 qualified 3.4 yards per attempt ranks 123rd out of 124 QBR of 68.7 ranks 124th out of 124 Andrew McNulty 36.4% completion pct 2.6 YPA 22.1 QBR Dajon Williams 71.4% completion pct 14.0 YPA 189.0 QBR I think the numbers speak for themselves. Our running backs are too good for our quarterbacks to be this bad.
  21. What troubles me about this quarterback situation is how the substitutions are working. If Greer is your best option, why take him out in garbage time rather than letting him get reps to bring his confidence along? I don't think the risk of injury is more important at this time than his need for improvement. If Dajon is immature and incapable at this point of being your one, why give him any reps at all? If playing Dajon is going to lead to a loss of discipline within the team, then don't play him. However, if he is simply not starting because he isn't vocal enough, I think that is a poor reason to keep your most talented quarterback off of the field.
