  1. None of that is true. Dodge went in there trying to win, not just trying to run out the clock like Dickey would. The coaches and media were laughing at Mendoza's simplistic high school defense, not Dodge's offense. Go figure that we'd now have a DC worse than one straight outta high school.
  2. Can't say Dodge didn't bring talent. He didn't always know how to utilize it though.
  3. Which constitutes....Citing major rules violations in both sports, the NCAA committee on infractions said some personnel at the Division II school “were lax on rules compliance, leading to violations of well-known, obvious NCAA rules.”
  4. Even with the best O-line, you are going to get sacked if you hold on to the ball too long which is why in 2013 with virtually the same RBs (only losing Byrd but adding Wilson and Evans) and O-line, we went from 6th in 2013giving up 11 sacks in 13 games (less than 1 per game) to 59th in 2014 giving up 25 in 12 games (more than 2 per game).
  5. The recruitment of two of those NFL draft picks also led to ACU vacating ten wins.
  6. My o-line looked pretty damn good tonight vs LSU.
  7. He allegedly went to TAMU-Commerce but he isn't on their roster. I think he is trying to be a rapper 2Legitt or something like that.
  8. The Portland State Staff would upgrade our staff but that doesn't mean they'd be a good fit.
  9. Haha Harry slipped one past ya
  10. Let us not get experience and age confused here. Kingsbury was 31 when he became co-OC at UH. He was 33 for the one season he was OC at A&M. He became TT's head coach at age 34 with one year of experience as the sole OC of a program and only 5 years coaching experience(all at the FBS level). Kendal Briles is 32 and in his first season as OC. This is his 8th year coaching(all at the FBS level). Lincoln Riley is also 32 but he is in his 6th season as a sole OC at a FBS school. He is in this 13th year coaching at the FBS level.
  11. Only coach on that staff that would interest me is Darrell Wyatt and only as an assistant coach.
  12. Why in the hell would we want the MUTS to win the rest of their games? We haven't played them yet. You are wishing them to beat us. You are confused or on the wrong damn message board.
  13. Well, they've put it on his wiki page so its gotta be true. Since Spavital was assigned as the full-time offensive coordinator in 2014, the vaunted Aggie offense has regressed each year in overall production, creativity, output, and player development. On October 24, 2015, after the second straight dismal offensive performance by Spavital's unit, Texas A&M lost to Ole Miss in Oxford, Mississippi by a score of 23-3, leading to thousands of Texas A&M fans calling for Spavital's firing.
  14. Who would've thought, just 7 years after what we thought would be the worst NT season ever, (when we were outscored by an average of 27.6 ppg) that we'd be living in the worst season ever as we have been outscored by an average of 28ppg with our worst loss being against a FCS opponent in our stadium on homecoming.
  15. His dad was pretty good at leading the Mean Green to victory in Lubbock.
  16. You are correct, something must've been wrong with the stats I was using on ESPN.
  17. My Aggie work buddies tell me they hope Spavital leaves for another job. They just feel sorry for whoever ends up with him.
  18. Not this bad. Mendoza gave up 45.1 points per game in his only season as DC in 2007. Cosh was giving up 44.3 ppg before today. After today, he is giving up 45.6 ppg. It will only get worse next week at UT.
  19. Mike Norvell did coach one year with Dodge at Pitt. Maybe that would help with our Central Texas recruiting?
  20. For those who are anti-Briles because of NCAA violations, ACU vacated 10 wins because of the actions of Thomsen's staff so there is that. Thomsen has been at the FBS-level as a position coach for 2 years. Lincoln Riley has been a coordinator at the FBS level for 6 years and been an FBS-level coach for ten years and a student assistant coach for 3 years before that so he has 13 years coaching at the FBS level. The coaching that Thomsen did before Riley started his career was as an ACU assistant and as a HS OC. Sometimes it isn't the age but the length and type of experience that matters. Canales has way better experience than Thomsen as far as I'm concerned.
  21. Vito ought to start paying some board members here for writing his stories.
  22. If the person who leaked it turned him off to us, they should be fired immediately so they don't chase away any more quality candidates. I bet it was RV.
  23. It is a bitter pill to swallow seeing what they think of our job there. Maybe seeing that might temper some expectations. Sometimes it doesn't matter how much of a dowry a woman puts out there, sometimes you just can't get past the warts.
  24. according to Merriam-Webster... candidate noun can·di·date \ˈkan-də-ˌdāt, ˈka-nə-, -dət\: a person who is trying to be elected : a person who is being considered for a job, position, award, etc. : a person who meets all the requirements for something If he isn't being considered doesn't he meet the requirements to be the head coach and thus a candidate by definition?
