Go ask Lincoln Riley. Go ask Charlie Strong. Or better yet, ask June Jones. That's why.

Don't think that will be a problem.
-
If true, I hope they find a way to get Lincoln Riley. He is my favorite next to Carthel.

Injuries are typically not an issue in the first game of the season. Our 2 qbs were sacked 4 times against Texas in 2014 while throwing 4 picks and giving up 4 fumbles. DT was only sacked twice against Georgia in 2013 while throwing for one pick. The qb plays a role in how many times he is sacked whether you want to admit that or not.
-
That line was here in 2014 too but our trio of circus clowns held onto the ball too long and got sacked at twice the rate of DT.
-
I like your style but disagree. Deloach would put 8 in the box because he knows none of the '15 team's quarterbacks can throw the ball. Cosh's soft, poor-tackling defense allows Riley and Dunbar to rack up Kenneth Dixon numbers. The 2010 defense was better than the 2015 offense and the 2010 offense was better than the 2015 defense. 2015 would lose whether it was Chico or Mac coaching the team to the Dodge or Canales coached 2010 team. No question.

Does that make our current quarterbacking stable the Helwig of quarterbacks?

Don't forget the $400k we paid either.

You must've been the kid that pressed the reset button every time you were losing at a video game.

Limited sample size. In 3 games, she has already won 2. Peterson didn't reach 2 wins last year until December 14th and he only won 1 nonconference game last year which she has already surpassed. I'm not saying she is going to be great or even good but I will say that through three games, she seems to be much better than the guy she replaced. Therefore the statement, "so far so good".

I think he is saying that maybe RV's hires aren't as bad as originally thought. His hires in MBB: Jones-Good, Benford-Bad WBB: Stevens-bad, Aston-good, Petersen-bad, Mitchell-so far so good FB: Dodge-bad, McCarney-bad/good/bad He seems to be .500 or just below. This next football hire could be the one that puts him above .500. I don't care if he is fired or not. I think the co-OC deal showed a complete lack of judgment but I can't write him off on one boneheaded mistake. If that were the case, I would've wanted him gone for letting Dickey coach out the remainder of 2006 after he was fired. That was probably the worst mistake he has ever made here in my eyes and he has been smart enough to not let it happen again.

Hair Roman played one season, 2007. Mendoza coached one season, 2007. OU happened the first game of 2007. Rice happened in 2008. I said the 2009 or 2010 team would've beaten this team by 2tds. In 2015, we are averaging 15.8 points per game while giving up 43.4. Outscored by 27.6 points per game. In 2010, we averaged 23.9 and gave up 29.7. Outscored by 5.8 points per game(with a 3rd or 4th string qb for 10 of the 12 games). In 2009, we averaged 26.1 while giving up 35.6. Outscored by 9.5 points per game. Since you brought up the two years that I didn't claim would beat this team, here are their stats as well. In 2008, we averaged 20.0 points per game while giving up 47.6. Outscored by 27.6 points per game. Our worst season on record. In 2007, we averaged 24.8 while giving up 45.1. Outscored by 20.3 in our only season with Mendoza at DC. Now, let those statistics sink in, then tell me how the 2015 team could beat the 09 or 10 teams by a touchdown.
-
#1, there would be no #2.
-
Dodge's '09 or '10 teams would've beaten the current team by 2 touchdowns.

Wobble city, no velocity.

I'm pro-Carthel.
-
Colby Carthel is 39 years old and has done a bangup job turning around a program that Guy Morriss left in shambles. He has even done better than our own Scotty Conley did at TAMU-C. The more I read about this guy the more I like him.
-
This was the first time I've actually seen Kendal coaching on tv and I was not impressed. Give me Colby Carthel over Kendal.
-
Respectfully, you'd be wrong Harry. I'm still for Riley even after the ass-kicking they took at the hands of a pitiful Texas team. Briles hasn't worked anywhere but Baylor. Riley has been at Tech, ECU, and now OU. Riley has had to earn everything on his own merit. He didn't have to rely on Daddy's coattails. Look at what Lincoln Riley has done with a Tech reject at quarterback. Herbstreit was talking like the kid deserves a Heisman. Briles would not be an OC at a P5 program right now if his boss' last name wasn't Briles.

Lincoln Riley>Kendal Briles and it isn't even close. Doesn't matter though since both claim they don't want our job.
