We good.

Rest easy, RV was not a Fedora guy, he was a Jeff Bower guy. RV was long gone before Fedora stepped foot in Hattiesburg. Regardless of title, Littrell calls the plays at UNC.
-
Me thinks Littrell has been the guy for at least 2 or 3 weeks now just waiting on his season to end. I think a lot of the others were just smoke. I do believe that Lincoln Riley interviewed but I believe it was a practice interview like Harbaugh's was in '07.
-
He was also a student assistant at OU before he left for Kansas. That is how he met Kevin Wilson.

Georgia didn't announce Smart. It was leaked to the press just like Littrell was. The difference is they have a SEC title game on Saturday and we are sitting at home waiting for next season. Smart's name is flying around because Bama is a popular topic in college football. Littrell has been a foregone conclusion since the Meacham pulling his name out rumor happened. Just wait a few more days and everything will be fine. Here is Nick Saban deflecting the questions about Smart. Nothing official has happened. It is just all rumor, just like Littrell and us. There are only 9 or 10 open FBS spots left and I bet almost all of those will be filled Sunday after the championship games are over.

There is an experienced coach out there that Littrell used to work for who is currently unemployed. He was rumored as a head coach here by some asshat Baylor law student. Don't -1 me to hell and back. I'm just curious of you guys thoughts on Mangino being a part of the staff in any fashion.

Fedora makes it pretty clear who calls the plays at this PC. After you get to the one minute mark when he stops talking about Littrell, skip to 22:30 to hear Seth.
-
I keep going back and forth between these two.

Great eye. He'd make a damn fine Bailiff. I'm not sure about Littrell after looking at Hackett's younger photos.

Dickey could be the Memphis PERMANENT Hire

Maybe he could bring in Ramon Flanagan as his OC? -

Hoping they don't get him.
-
I"m not so sure about that. The picture of Bailiff below is from 2005 which doesn't look like Littrell at all really. Bailiff at TCU Besides, Bailiff was an Offensive Lineman while Littrell was a fullback. Very different body types.

Too bad you can't use that formation in college onside kicks.
-
Unless they throw $2M plus at him or move their program to Texoma, they aren't more attractive.

If UNC beats Clemson, Gene Chizik is the first assistant to get hired away by a bigger fish, no question. Seth Littrell is an Oklahoma kid and I believe firmly that he wants to be a head coach in Oklahoma or as close to it as possible. There are only 3 jobs worth having in the state of Oklahoma. They are Tulsa, OU, and Oklahoma State. Tulsa is in their first year under the former Baylor OC who took them from 2-10 to 6-6. That job won't open again for 3 years at least. OU and Okie Lite are coached by lifers and will not open up until Gundy and Stoops are ready to retire. Next closest job would be the Razorbacks, Bielema is in his 3rd season at 7-5 (5-3 conf) which is his best season yet. He will be there at least 2 more years. Then it goes to the Metroplex. TCU's Patterson is a coach for life. SMU just paid over $2 million for Chad Morris. He will be there at least 2 more years. Then that leaves us, with a brand new stadium, fertile recruiting ground, winnable conference, and newly deeper pockets. We are the choice destination for someone wanting to be close to DFW or Oklahoma. The Tulsa job would've been optimal for Littrell but he was either beat out or didn't want to leave UNC after only one season. We are the next opening in his head coaching wheelhouse for at least 2 years. His upward trajectory won't allow him to stay as a playcaller for two more years. He is ready to jump in now. He will do great for us and take over for Stoops or Patterson someday. I'd say Gundy but I don't think his crimson blood would allow him to coach the Pokes but I could be wrong.

At Texas Charlie Strong hired Joe Wickline as Offensive coordinator and o-line coach because he had a buyout in his OSU contract for lateral moves. The promotion in-name-only allowed Texas to hire Wickline without paying OSU the buyout. Subsequently, it has gone to court because it is common knowledge that Wickline does not call the offense and never has. The original head of the offense was Shawn Watson. His title? Assistant Head Coach for Offense. It doesn't matter but Jay Norvell, the wide receivers coach is calling the plays now because Strong took that responsibility away from Watson after their dismal performance against Notre Dame. Point of the story is, Littrell is in charge of the offense at UNC.

They probably shouldn't have leaked the finalists until after the championship games.
-
I doubt UNC makes it in unless they simply destroy Clemson like OSU did to Wisconsin last year. They have too many places to jump. OU is in, Michigan State or Iowa is in, most likely Bama takes care of the Gators, and that leaves one open spot. Would they jump both a Pac12 champion Stanford and everyone's darling one-loss Ohio State? I don't think the TV powers that be would allow that. Although it will be to our detriment, I'm rooting for Coach L and UNC to make it to the playoffs because I think he deserves it, I just don't see it happening.
-
I doubt he'd come but I think Todd Dodge would be a damn fine quarterbacks coach. Flame away. I know he wasn't a good head coach but he was very good at developing quarterbacks both in high school and college.

Love this guy. He has the intensity and frankly the physical size that makes me think he could put on the pads right now and truck most of our defensive players.
