10 linemen, I can determine if they'd be better on offense or defense when they get here 2 quarterbacks 4 linebackers 2 running backs 2 tall receivers 5 athletes(skill set and S&C work will determine what position they play) But before all that, I need to go to Park Place to pick up my new ride.
-
Yep. Look here. Tulsa's HC calls the plays, so they essentially overpaid for two Tulsa position coaches.
-
Thank you. Even after reading all that, I'm still perplexed. I just don't "get it". I'm aging too fast.
-
I will freely admit I am one of them. After you've had your fun, can you educate me?
-
You wait five minutes?

Back to the topic at hand. So the staff won't be complete until after the new year. That leads me to believe we are waiting on bowl games to be finished to name the staff. Notice how he didn't mention the two guys whose names were already leaked.

Texas just paid $850k per year for Tulsa's co-OC that allegedly doesn't even call plays and was willing to pay $1.2 million to TCU's co-OC that doesn't call plays.. Littrell would've gotten his money regardless after the way UNC played this year. He would've gotten a job this year or next paying that $1M or more as an OC or HC.
-
You never know. He may have one of these parked somewhere but is using his NT car allowance for the luxury coach hauler.
-
He doesn't believe this. If he did, he would've never taken the job.
-
I'm going out on a limb here but I'm going to assume that if he was recruited by our former staff, he probably isn't what we want in a quarterback.
-
Sweet Ride. I wonder if Jordan Case came through with the hookup.
-
What about this dude? Could we woo him as the sole DC instead of the co-DC role he is in now? Dude coached under Skladany at Iowa State and now Pattterson at TCU. I think he'd bring an aggressive brand of defense that would be perfect for us.
-
I think tasers were brought about to subdue someone who is resisting without resorting to the baton beatings of the past. How far does a taser actually shoot with any accuracy? Would you be willing to stand within that range of a crazed man carrying an axe knowing you only have one shot and if you miss or the taser fails, you will be maimed or dead? I'm not a cop but if were a CHL holder and a dude with an axe continued to come at me after I pointed my gun and told him to stop, I'd probably empty the clip at him as quickly as I could pull the trigger. The only less-lethal method I can think of that may have stopped this dude is those bean bag rounds they shoot sometimes and I'd be surprised if UNT police even had those.

Yes, surprisingly for a set that keep perfect rhythm with the song on the radio.

I like it. Paint it the right shade of green, put the SOW on it, and we'll use it to fly into our games at Ford every other year.
-
Plus, now you have Trophy Club going to Byron Nelson. When I was in HS, I went on a date with a SLC dragonette(or whatever they're called) and she lived in Trophy Club.
-
I guess I misunderstood. I was basing it on the quote below. The problem with less-lethal weaponry used by police is that almost all of them require you to be in the attacker's strike zone. If this method fails to take down the suspect, the officer is the one who ends up in the hospital or morgue. Remember, this was one man with an axe advancing at one police officer. The officer can't just run away until several backup cars show up. The officer has to stand their ground to prevent the suspect from doing more harm.

Aston for Head Men's Coach?
-
Chris, your heart is in the right place but realistically how many UNT and Denton police officers are on duty at one time? How long would it take a force of thirty officers to show up in riot gear? My guess is at least an hour plus this situation was at night which heightens the danger. If they had waited for a force like that, this axe wielding man surely would've hurt several innocent people.
-
I'd agree on Joseph but I truly believe Skladany was much better than Bowen.
-
You know, I honestly can't remember. I remember my last play was a punt return by SLC's homecoming king Tye Strickland and myself and a Navy discus thrower named Nate Michael combined on the tackle. I remember there wasn't much time left in the game after that. Looking back, I wish I'd have tried to strip the ball but you can't change the past. We did beat the other eventual state champion that year besides Stephenville, Grapevine.

I doubt we are. I'm sure Littrell has or will speak to Dodge at some point about his time here. Since he has a WR committed to us, I think the subject will come up. Dodge is a stand-up guy and will give Littrell all the insight on where he thinks he went wrong.
-
It's too bad that Coach Rigs passed, it would be nice to have Wally roaming the sidelines again.
-
Giovanni Vizza didn't visit NT until 01/12/07 and didn't commit to NT until 01/23/07. He visited Nevada 01/19/07. Relax. We will get the guys we're gonna get whether Graham Harrell is in Denton right now or on December 27th. Here is your reason why Harrell and maybe Filani will be staying with Wazzu until after the Sun Bowl. They might fly straight here from El Paso, who knows.

While Dodge was at Fossil Ridge (which was in Southlake's district in 98 and 99), Southlake went 12-2 in 1998 with Lurch as their quarterback. They went as far as the state semifinals and lost to Cody Cardwell, Kelan Luker, and the man, the myth, the legend, one Art Briles. That was my senior year, I played at Coppell and we lost by 3 to them in our season finale. In 1999 SLC went 6-4, did not make the playoffs, and went 2-3 in district play including a loss to Todd Dodge's Fossil Ridge Panthers.
