  1. I’m sure it was beneficial but if they were that good why didn’t Morris himself (the guy that recruited them from high school) pursue them? Or did one year with Kinne make them forget all about Morris?
  2. I read it differently, like maybe he was given the perception that he would be the day 1 starter and then Stone Earle got in the way.
  3. This isn’t 2015 anymore. Hit 6 is in the rear view. We don’t expect to be a powerhouse. We expect improvement. We expect bowl games. We expect to win bowl games. We expect conference title game appearances. We expect conference titles. We are not saying anything about NY6 right now. We are saying we shouldn’t go back to the old UNT. Forward not backwards.
  4. So what is the excuse this year with Kinne taking a 4-8 team to 7-5? Didn’t take much time to build that roster or do we all owe Spav a big apology?
  5. Morris had one good season at UIW. Kinne had a better season the following year without Cam Ward.
  6. Well there you go. Ouch.
  7. You are just mad. I’m sure the money will be worth it. I would’ve left UNT for 6-7 figures and I freaking love the place. He isn’t getting drafted out of UNT as a quarterback but might at Cal. There are far more Cal quarterbacks in the NFL than UNT quarterbacks. Not only that, Bloesch got Aune a minicamp invite from the Falcons which led to him being signed by the team as an undrafted free agent. He was cut a month later but that was on Aune.
  8. He still is great, just trying to work his way back from that achilles injury.
  9. I thought Rodgers already graduated from Cal and plays for the Jets. Chandler Rogers, on the other hand, is headed to Cal.
  10. Ah, yes, I forgot he came from Mizzou. Thanks.
  11. Could not agree more. Oscar was a great ambassador for the Mean Green and I will never know how Seth Littrell kept himself from ripping the head off of every single staff member at Western Kentucky after the disgusting play that injured Oscar last season. about the 1:42:45 mark for those that don’t remember.
  12. Oscar went through senior day, whether he was tampered with on the 7th or not, he likely decided not to come back to UNT weeks ago.
  13. I disagree. One thing we know about this year’s team is that anyone could run on us. Last year’s 4-headed monster with Bloesch and Cobbs running things would’ve had 2 maybe 3 100 rushers against this year’s team.
  14. 1. What the original poster put for the 2018 defensive stats. 2. Regression
  15. I wouldn’t be opposed to bringing Reff back. He wasn’t as bad as 2019 made him look.
  16. Bowl game should be a mandatory next year and conference title hunt in year 3 or we are wasting our time.
  17. Haha Emmitt I will answer with this.
  18. Did you know in 2009 we were 24 points away from being 8-4 instead of 2-10? We were only 17 points from being 7-5. We were 13 points from bowl eligibility. Todd Dodge was fired in the middle of 2010 with a 1-6 record. Two of those losses were by a single point. A 3rd loss was by 5 points while being forced to play a walkon wide receiver at quarterback due to injuries. He was a mere 7 points from a winning record and being 4-3 at the time of his firing despite his team being eviscerated by injuries. Close games and moral victories mean nothing. I am not impressed with this staff thus far and they have shown me nothing that says they can take this team higher than the guy we fired.
  19. Sweet justice that the p5s are now whining after Littrell complained about it for years.
  20. While true, what Kinne inherited at Texas State is a far cry from what Morris inherited here.
  21. He is from Arkansas so I don’t see that as a big deal. I’m sure he would like to play his last season closer to his friends and family.
  22. Well that’s good news.
  23. Do we still have Ragsdale?
