I like Sonny, he seems to have grown to dislike SMU nearly as much as we do.

While I guess that is technically true, we did start off the 2018 season at 4-0.

As was I, Clement and Dillard were automatic. They went 10-3 and won their bowl game that year. Texas Tech won’t be winning 10 games this year.

I was at 2-4 and they were not as bad as yesterday. The Rice game isn’t quite as bad as it looks when you consider Clement and Dillard hold the NCAA record for quarterback-receiver touchdown connections.

I was there and he is right, Morris has WAY more resources and more talented players than Dodge had in game 1 of 2007. Dodge took over for a coach running an entirely different scheme and had to primarily use that coach’s players. Morris in year 2 with his entire coaching staff and chased off the old staff’s players. The job Morris is doing today is far worse than what Dodge did in his first game as a college head coach. This is atrocious for a coach who took over what Littrell left him.

Does it though? 45-7 isn’t that far from 49-0 when you still have 6 minutes left in the half.

Guess we will have to become North Texas State again to merit an invite.

I am also curious as to what sort of playing time they could have expected if they had retuned and also if they were “encouraged” to leave. I am sure there are a couple that weren’t asked to leave but Morris seems pretty content to have washed away the Littrell era players.

Jake Roberts caught 3 for 51 and a touchdown. Isaiah Johnson carried 14 for 71 and a touchdown plus caught 3 for 25. Jamori Maclin carried once for 12 yards while catching one ball for 2 yards.

I guess FCS wins only count when Eric Morris is the coach.

Don’t kid yourself, their quarterback’s inaccuracy saved us at least 2 touchdowns.

I agree with him. The cost isn’t justifiable with a tight athletic budget like they have. Football drives the bus and I bet Colby Carthel’s program could go a long way on an extra million or so each season.

Did you look at the date of the article? The new head coach of the Chargers doesn’t know Jalen Guyton from the man in the moon. He did make the Raiders practice squad though.
