I stopped subscribing too b/c of the typically poor audio and/or video quality. You know, if this were the age of dial-up internet, I'd understand. But give me a break, it doesn't take a miracle to stream video.

Sam Houston State had a very good season last year. They were 23-8 (10-6 conference) with wins over some quality teams/conferences including Texas Tech, Fresno State, and Central Florida. They had a 1 point loss to San Diego State in OT. This should be a very good game assuming they returned many starters.

I seem to recall last season that Houston Baptist was giving legitimate D1 teams all they could handle.... I think they played at least 1 or maybe even 2 Sunbelt teams last season.

Dunbar is a stud. He makes things happen even when during times when nobody else can. He will be a major contributor despite his extremely small frame.

I was pissed off... I paid $30.00 for my daughter and her friend plus a $2.00 credit card surcharge for a total of $32.00. It didn't help my mood either when they wouldn't let me in with my student ID and I had to go sort it out with ticket office. I know season ticket holders would love these prices, but for me, as a student, I won't be bringing any of her friends anymore. After multiple rounds of soft drinks at $10.00 per round (for 3 of us) plus food and increased ticket costs, I just can't do it any more. I swear they had water fountains there, but I couldn't find them anywhere. That makes it especially hard as we could fill up our soft drink bottles we purchase like we do at basketball games.

Lance Dunbar is the little engine that could. I can't believe how small he is... nevertheless, Dunbar is extremely fast and seems to turn nothing into something... he'd consistently dissapeared in a sea of huge lineman only to emerge through the small holes with nice gains. Dunbar is a stud and will make a huge impact this season.

I was at the game and do not know Tulsa well enough to answer this question. Did we out score Tulsa in the second half against their first string? Or did they pull the first string? This shows shows huge improvements in our defense in just 2 quarters if it was against the first string.

My student ID wouldn't scan either... they sent me to the ticket office and couldn't get it to work... they just handed me a free student ticket... annoying, but at least they didn't make me pay... sorry you had too...

I hear you... I wasn't trying to sugar coat the arse whooping we took. I was just very surprised to see the numbers when I looked at the stats.... I thought I'd be looking at "beat down" stats.... had we converted on 3 downs and had any semblance of a red zone defense, the score could have been a whole different story..... nonetheless, that was embarrassing tonight....

Note: Tulsa Stats in parentheses... We had 25 first downs (27), 203 yards rushing (135), 30 of 45 passing for 247 yards with no interceptions (27/35/0 for 420) with total offense of 450 yards (555). We had the ball for 32 minutes, more than half the game and were 3 for 3 in the red zone. So far it actually looks like good output... the killer stats that lead to our defeat..... our QB sacked 4x, 5 of 15 on 3rd downs, 3 fumbles with 2 lost, Tulsa averaged 24 yards per kick off return and was 6 of 7 in the red zone. Vizza has definitely cut down on interceptions... I have to give him that.... and our boys played hard no matter the score... the first half was especially demoralizing too.....

Ya know, this early pre-season talk has got me excited about the start of our season in November!! A return to the Pit Crew with all of our pesky and heckling ways to watch a now frequently winning team, especially at home.... November can't come soon enough!

Ya, a White, Johnson, Dennis combo would be SM A-L-L.

Interesting. Jones says we might have a 2 point guard set up at times using White and Johnson. That's a pretty small line up, but as we know with White (ask U. of Texas) his size doesn't really matter. He shoots lights out. The real question is does Johnson have the same kind of play as White despite his small frame? You can find the article here.
