  1. I hate to say this, but it works to our advantage if schools like UTEP, who we are in direct competition with for recruits, have a bad, or even better, ugly season. So I say, "UTEP, lose them all!"
  2. I believe that South Florida was actually #12 when FIU played them... not that this makes any huge difference.
  3. Definitely not ULL. I'll put my money on Troy though I wouldn't be surprised if ArkState is right there in the running.
  4. Nice win! I love smacking around the Big 12.... girl's soccer took care of Baylor and Oklahoma, men's basketball took care of Oklahoma State..... now it is time for men's football to do their part!
  5. There is no way in hell that we lose tomorrow. I mean that literally. We don't play. The Rice game isn't until the 27th. Nonetheless, I predicted a win shortly after the LSU game.
  6. Yep, go to ESPN360.com
  7. I can confirm that UNT's internet access provider subscribes to ESPN360.... so yes, you can watch it on campus.
  8. I'm not sure that I buy the argument that this 1 man was completely unstoppable.
  9. Great news for Casey and Johnson! And great news for the Mean Green! Get healthy boys.... we need you in our first win of the season against Rice!!
  10. This is what I saw and are excited about... I was surprised at the negativity about the Mean Green's performance in media and some on this board... of course 41-3 is never something to be happy about, but when you can't win games in your own conference, achieving the above goals are considerable against one the nation's best teams. I have a feeling that Rice will be a win and if not, it will be one hell of game.
  11. Thanks for the info, but you could have said where he signed in the heading... I go all excited about a potential new recruit only find out he signed elsewhere.
  12. I'm very glad to see some folks backing up what I said. The American public are so easily bamboozled. Apparently, not here. Everyone knows that government funded healthcare will lead to socialized medicine. Obama will not say that explicitly in his plan, but it is a huge first step toward this in the U.S. as several good posters have pointed out in this thread. Liberals believe in big, government sponsored social programs..... that's just what they do.
  13. When you have had 2 wins in 2 years.... every game is a must win, if nothing else to show potential recruits that the program will turn around and soon.
  14. Green Greenade II... you make so many predictions that eventually one of them will come true I think that the Rice game could be our first win of the season too. I know that our guys have to feel pretty good about the LSU game despite the loss. There is a ton to build on from that game. The biggest concern now is, of course, special teams. We cannot win if they keep running back kicks for TDs or start off each possession on our 45 yard line.
  15. Upon re-reading your comment.... I may have missed the sarcasm in it... sorry if that is the case....
  16. OK. It was beautifully and perfectly balanced officiating game.... feel better? All I said was there was some calls that didn't go our way.... bit of an over reaction on your part?
  17. I agree on the officiating... there were several calls and non-calls that I thought were due to the home field advantage. Wasn't horrible officiating and we certainly did not lose because of it... I just thought the calls overall favored LSU.
  18. I didn't realize that our special teams coach was a Southlake coach brought in by Dodge. I'm sorry to say this, but this explains it for me. Our special teams have been beyond horrible.... I see another coach going to the chop block at some point during this season or after it ends.
  19. I agree. I think our offensive line has been a pleasant surprise and the biggest all around improvement since last season. Those were huge line men they went up against and everyone knows we have a thin offensive line rotation.... basically our o-lineman went at against massive d-lineman the entire game and never allowed a single sack.... very nice accomplishment. Also, Vizza is playing with a seasoned QB maturity well beyond his years. I have a feeling that Rice could be our first win of the season. If not, it will be a game that we are very competitive in. It seems many things are coming together.... Last.....special, or rather not-so-special, teams may be our Achilles heal this season.
  20. how about we just hold them under 50 points?
  21. Who does the special teams coaching now?
  22. NICE! MTSU now leading Kentucky 14-10 with 4:58 in the 3Q. MTSU is going to be handful in SBC play this season.
  23. I realize that these are low expectations, but I am pleasantly surprised with our first half play. Our offense actually moved the ball pretty good. Mental mistakes killed us, but those are correctable. Our offensive line is giving great protection against some big ass defensive linemen coming at Vizza. Defense is playing decent against the run, though they have broke some big runs. Special teams return coverage needs lots of work. No matter what happens in the 2nd half, I think Dodge has some great things to build on in first half against the defending national champions.
  24. There is no thread going so I'll just use mine. They need to give Dunbar the ball. He is gaining nice yardage on every carry!
  25. Omen = superstition.
