Hogans having a good game too!

I seem to recall that many of ULAR games were very low scoring which implies defense battles.... but we are well on our way to a 70-80 point game. I have to believe that this favors us.

Hogans slamms it home! That's the aggressiveness our big men have been lacking of late.

Thompson is so fast and aggressive he could probably charge to the basket each possession and either get a bucket and/or foul.

We are playing extremely aggressive to the basket. I'm glad we are not relying so much on the 3. Could turn into a free throw contest.

Very nice... and we outplayed Arkansas for at least 1/2 the game to maybe 3/4 of the game.

Good chance to see WKU play. Also, apparently ESPN launched a completely new website today.... check espn.com I haven't surfed it much so I don't have any comments about it yet.

I really thought that George Odufuwa was going to fill the Big Man role quite well based on his early play. He started strong, but has underperformed as games progressed. I still cannot help but to wonder if he is not 100%. I really don't know who we can turn to... Howerton? Stewart? These guys are more role players... I think Hogans and Tramiel can give good minutes, and Tramiel is probably a 30-35 minute starter as the season progresses, but I'm still not sure they can dominate at the post.... I wish Spencer was eligible this season... at 275Lb he'd be immovable under the basket.

Early game. Gametime is at 2:00PM today. I am so thankful that this game is on ESPN360. I have family in town and will be doing family stuff this afternoon. At least I can watch the replay of the game tonight. I hope that we find a way to win against Arkansas.

You are pretty brave putting the word "Rival" in your heading. The last time I included SMU and "Rival" in a heading it caused mass chaos. Apparently, the rival Nazis of this board have a very stringent definition of the word rival. And few of our usual opponents meet this criteria. I fully anticipate your thread will deteriorate into this discussion. Come to think of it, this reply may unfortunately be the one to initiate it.

Dennis has had a horrible shooting season. Shooting 30% across the board. He has contributed in other ways, but quite honestly, he should not be playing 20-30 minutes a game based on his poor scoring output plus turnovers. I really think McCoy, Johnson, and Tramiel should be getting much more minutes.

I wish you'd cut it out. Reason and logic are so drab. And I really hate it when the facts get in the way of emotion. It much more fun to be irate and angry! Down with reason! Pillage!! Plunder!! Call for JJ's head! Bench the starters! Fire someone! Now I feel much better.

I raised this question too several times this past week and even during the UNO game. He did not get hurt during the UNO game, at least best I could tell. What I suspect is going on: I recall about 3 games ago that George hurt his achilles during the game.... I remember him hobbling off the court. Nothing was ever mentioned again about this. However, I noticed his output and performance have decreased since then, with a new low in all of his stats against UNO. We desperately need George back. His rebounding presence was sorely missed last night and was a huge factor in our loss.

So true SUMG.....and a very disappointing loss tonight in a game that was very winnable.

My computer is, but unfortunately the feed is not HD. But trust me, we had many open looks that didn't drop. Nonetheless, UNO consistently made their shots, so here you go Quoner, UNO won because of the effort they gave.

I fully expected to win. If we had even shot within 5% of our usual field goal %, we would have won. It wasn't like they had the best defense. We just missed open shots.

The problem is that we play UTA next and they gave a few kicks to the groin area as well over the past few years.

We reaaaaaaaaly missed Odufuwa tonight.

I have no idea how we lost that game.
