I asked Brett Vito to check up on Hogans, Thompson, and Tramiel since they all sustained injuries in the ULM game. he just emailed me a new update to his blog. Thank God all 3 players were playing in practice on Friday. We could hardly do without anyone of those guys. Brett also mentioned that White sustained a new injury in practice, but that it won't effect his playing status. The full report is here.

Admins please leave this in the football forum if possible. We need to get everyone out to the game tonight. The Mean Green takes on the first place Trojans of Arkansas-Little Rock tonight at 7:00pm. This should be a downright battle as we lost on the road by a single point in OT in the last meeting. The Mean Green are on a 4 game win streak featuring nothing short of dominant performances over SBC opponents. Adam McCoy is on fire and Josh White is returning to freshman form...and the players seem to have found a new chemistry. This may be your last opportunity this season to catch a home game depending on the final SBC standings. And if this isn't enough, tonight is senior night so get out to the Super Pit to honor our seniors and for what has the makings of a fantastic game!

I think Tramiel is the best all around player on the team, though McCoy is not far behind. In fact, McCoy may pick this team up on his back and carry them all the way to the NCAA tourny if he keeps shooting lights out like he has the past several games.

I agree completely. Howerton had a couple of really good games these past few weeks. I am very happy for him as a senior..... But tonight he looked like the Howerton of old.

Triston, Hogans, and Tramiel all got injured at some point in this game. Let's hope they recover quickly... we are peaking at the right time and I'd hate to see injuries hold us back.

Great win, fun game. Unfortunately, Hogans hurt is ankle or lower leg diving for a ball out of bounds. He hobbled off the court at the end of the game. I hope that he is OK. We want a healthy Mean Green team going into the tournament. We seem to be peaking at the right time. Big test this Saturday against ULAR!

If the team keeps playing like they have the past few games, we have a real chance of an NCAA tourny run. Even when we weren't playing our great ball, we played the SBC's best teams down to wire and lead most of the game in several games. This shows that we can beat anyone in the SBC tourny, especially if this new momentum continues... I am personally realizing a resurgence of excitement about this basketball team! I hope Josh has finally found his shoot too!

Not even close for me... Eric Tramiel. Nobody works harder out on the floor then him as seen by several double-doubles and a slew of near double-doubles. He emerged as the all around consistent player we have lacked all season. When in doubt, get Eric the ball and good things happen. And it doesn't hurt that he shoots at around 60%.

We are still mathematically in the run for first place in the West, though I know it is a long shot... but it could start tonight with a gift from ULM win if they beat ULAR.

JJ actually sounds a little revved up in this interview... maybe the Mean Green is getting a little serious...

No kidding. We win as team and lose as a team, but if Josh had shot even close to what he did his freshman year, we would have won many of the those close games/OTs.

I think I heard the announcers say at the start of the game that MTSU have not lost at home this entire season... I might be remembering it wrong though. If true, this would be a great road win.

Yep, and we are up by almost 20 and Tramiel has not been a factor.................................yet. My only concern is how we close this game out.

I think we may be playing with a tremendous amount of confidence that we lacked earlier this year. Odufuwa seems to be really finding himself late this season... and we've got 2 more years of Odufuwa.

It seems the past few games something is clicking. I think our players understand their roles much better now. For much of the season, it was a quickly rotating line up for the entire game... we seem to be developing a rhythm and character about the team.

I am very impressed with this new ESPN360. This is the version that has been in beta testing forever... one of the best internet feeds I've ever seen.

Heck, I haven't been out in so long, I'd probably actually go to the Pourhouse if they had the game on. I'm skeptical though they will with all the other college games on including Texas.

I'm confused. The Mean Green Athletics email for the game say, "Tip off is scheduled for 7 p.m. (CST)," while ESPN360 has it listed for 5:00p.m. (CST). Anyone know which is correct?
