I spoke to Mangrum briefly at the football game yesterday... always such a nice guy... he told me that he is physical able to play again this season... and he seemed pretty confident about his return.... It looks like we have some really good sized guards to turn too as needed: Shorter, Shannon, 6-4, 200LB Mangrum, Collin, 6-5, 190LB Thomas, Richard 6-5, 190Lb Thompson, Tristan 6-5, 190LB Although Alzee Williams clocks in at 6-4, he is only 168LB so I don't think I'd lop him in with this group.. Dunbar is stud and so is Cam... the future looks bright with the running game..

Some updates have been made to the Men's Basketball roster. Nothing too major though. They have now entered all recruits, except Alzee Williams, assigned shirt numbers to newbies, and updated height and weight. I assume their background info is next. There is a new addition to the roster in Nick Goff, presumably a walk-on, a 6'3" guard from Columbus, OH (St. Francis de Sales).

I found Williams' My Space page. He lists himself as enrolled at North Texas. My guess then is that we signed him then; why else would he enroll if he seeks to sign somewhere? Here is the link.

Ya, there have been some nice OOC wins for the SBC this season. One of my favorites is the Louisiana-Lafayette win over Kansas State.

I've tried to contain my excitement the week about the Alabama game, knowing the outcome. But I woke up this morning delusional as ever thinking we might have a chance to win I now eagerly await the game... Go Tune! Go Mean Green!

The marginal home games are offset by a very good OOC schedule with Rice, UT Arlington, Oklahoma State, Boise State, and Texas A&M in my opinion..... given the recent success of the past 3 years, the schedule is good enough that if we start off 8-0, which means we win all of those OOC games plus all those home games, we'll get votes or possibly be nationally ranked.
