Still a little early.. they usually add games just before start time... not that they will broadcast this one.. we'll just have to wait and see.

Wow! JJ is truly building a marvelous program.

??? I don't get it. Our defense was horrible... we made them appear like a bunch of Michael Jordons... Quite frankly, I was not trying to stir stuff up, but just wanted to talk defense. We have been implementing the 2-3 zone during brief periods all season... I wondered if that might be the more suitable defense for this team given the reasons I stated.... not trying to dog on them, but just to talk defense... geez.

Is man-on-man the best defense for this team at this point? 5-7 players basically get the bulk of minutes each game in a sport with 5 players on the floor at all times. That means our starters and a bench player or two spend a good part of the game chasing around the other team in a man-on-man defensive scheme. Could fatigue be a factor in our sometimes terrible defense? Would our current player roster be more suited to a zone defense?

I am extremely disappointed with this team. The bad road losses keep piling up. First Troy, and now ULL. If we even make it to the NCAA tourney, which I thought was a given at the start of the season, we will be a 15 or 16 seed with little or no chance of winning a road game against some of the nation's fiercest competition (#1 - #3 seed). I'm sorry, but if we can't win the easy ones on the road against a weak, weak SBC this season, I cannot see us winning against top competition. Hopefully I am proven wrong.

Nice interpretation.. This one gets my vote, though I wish it were an invite to MWC, CUSA, or Big12. Probably a 4 or 5 star player has signed on.

Funny how that works... UNT "opened up the check book" as they have said for the new head coach plus quality assistants... and in 1 donation they have recouped all or most of their entire first year coaches payroll... Wonder what those donations might look like once we actually start to win on a consistent basis?

They have been kind to us all season.. keeping us in the Top 25 after occasional ugly losses... we moved up to #15 this week.

My daughter plays 8th grade basketball for a Denton public school. I just found out yesterday that the entire team is attending a basketball game today..... drum roll..... SMU. I am pretty sure it the women's game since the men don't play today... I told her to tell her coach that they should have gone to the Mean Green women's game last night instead, and she just rolled her eyes at me and told me to get a life... oh well, can't win them all. Plus my daughter goes to almost all Mean Green games so it wouldn't have been as fun for her.

One thing I forgot to mention... George showed some new moves tonight... At least twice, he made very quick drives to the basket from about the free throw line... he looked really good... and surprisingly really, really fast... basically bursting to the basket... my buddy and I both commented at the same time that we hadn't seen that from George before...

The crowd was amazingly into this game, including the Pit Crew... it really turned into blow out at the end of the first half, but the everyone kept the volume loud, harassed the refs, and generally contributed energy and chaos to the game... fun game... hopefully we carry the momentum on our next road game.

The good news is that Troy played about the very best ball they possibly can and couldn't take a lead into halftime. Unless they can play like that the entire second half, we should take them.

Dang nail biter... not our best effort... good MTSU defense has much to do with this.. hopefully, we pull it out.
