I cannot decide which route I want... Troy and Florida Atlantic or South Alabama and Ark State??? I think I lean toward the USA/ASU route, but that means we lose at Ark-LR... We need all the momentum we can get so I'll pull for a win at Ark-LR, and then wins over Troy and Florida Atlantic.

Great game all around. I am so happy that this game went the way it did for a fantastic group of seniors. I hope this is the needed spark to make a SBC tourney run.

It has been revealed in the past few weeks that injuries, injuries, and even more injuries have hobbled this team that was already not very deep... at least 2 of the starting 5 (White and Hogans - I knew about Hogans all season but not White), have played injured most of the season... and we've outright lost many players for the season, including the most recent and terrible loss of Holman.

Not everyone is in the front row with a perfect angle of the hit that caused the broken wrist either..

I saw the incident happen... a ULM player swatted extremely hard at the ball when Holman drove to the basket.... I immediately saw him grimacing and flexing his hand open and closed at the free throw line... I then watched him for about 2-3 minutes and he was constantly messing with his hand... Given he continued to play the whole game, I thought that he played through the obvious pain... now we know he played through a broken bone.. tough guy.... now out for the season.. he was really coming on strong in many ways... this is a true loss to this team, and I think greatly decreases our chances of winning at the SBC tourney. Another thing mentioned is that White has been injured all season.. that is the first I've heard of this... and it explains alot about his performance... I wish Josh and Holman speedy recoveries...

actually the officiating was an improvement over recent ones... they actually let them play a bit... previous games have basically been ticky tack, hand check, and minimal body contact fouls combined with outright poor foul calls ... basically the flow of the game is: a team gains possession of ball, foul call, free throws, and then repeat sequence. They officiate as if bball is suppose to be a fully non-contact sport. I wonder if there is actual data to support our observations that Sunbelt officials are excessive with their whistles?

Our second half defense was the best I can recall in a long time.. they seriously got after it... and on offense, Triston gave up his body once again on most plays... he took a a serious beating trying to get to basket... this team seemed to really care about a win in the 2nd half. Hopefully, shades of our former glorious selves from earlier in the season.

I am really tiring of these Sunbelt games and refs/whistles... I was watching a Big 10 game today and it was so nice... minimal interference from the refs.. you can actually get a flow to the game when there isn't so many whistles... The ULL road game was outrageous...
