Here is the official box score for the game: http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools/ntex/sports/m-baskbl/auto_pdf/2014-15/box_score/stats_20141111aaa.pdf I was very interested to see how Gregg White-Pittman would play. Big time scorer in high school. He put up great numbers, fantastic numbers considering his first game as a D1 freshman: 15 pts, 7 assists (only 1 turn over), 2 Rebounds, 1 steal. Great contributor all around for this game.

Vito said Wesley had one game suspension for violation of team rules. Wesley might be good to go then for start of season - can only hope.

Didn't see an update on Taylor. Did you mean Reese?
-
Say what you want about Benford, but the quality influx of recruits is impressive... Brice, Brown, Wesley, Combs, (that's four Top 50 recruits from Texas), Reese (4 star transfer), and Whitte-Pittman (many accolades in Louisiana). Of course, we will be very small this year under the post, but hopefully can adapt.... glad we have a legit bigman for next year though.

That's crazy with the photo they used. How the hell did they even find that in color? -
Tech's offense comes to life, puts up 533 yards vs. Cajuns
chrisfisher replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
Can't wait to introduce Tech's "high powered" offense to the Mean Green, hard hitting, ruthless defense. Should be fun to watch. -
CBSsports eye on college football bottom 25 Wk 2

I really hope (1) we make it to a bowl game again this season, and (2) it is against a team from a power conference so we can show that the UT loss was fluke. -
CUSA making case for toughest G5 conference
chrisfisher replied to ColoradoEagle's topic in Mean Green Football
Not to mention, CUSA teams had some very close games with teams from "power conferences." -

Official SMU Game Score Prediction Thread
chrisfisher replied to MeanGreenTexan's topic in Mean Green Football
24-7 UNT. UT struggled to score for long portions of the game. UNT defense had good showing despite being on the field for most of the game and being put in bad spots by offense. This defense is really good - tenacious, hard hitting, gets to ball, tackles well. I think these factors will show in SMU game assuming our offensive doesn't have a similar showing. -
Reasons to believe we MIGHT open the offense up
chrisfisher replied to GOMG2013's topic in Mean Green Football
Great stable of tight ends too, which can help the running game, but also open up the passing game. -
Berry Tramel predicts UNT vs. Indiana in HOD Bowl
chrisfisher replied to Harry's topic in Mean Green Football
It might make a good story line if little ole' North Texas beats a P5 team, Indiana, in the regular season only for the P5 team to get a second shot to regain their manhood against a non-P5 team in the bowl. -

first official UNT game on Jan. 17, 1917 vs. SMU

Wow. That's crazy. BBall sure has come along way since the early days. -
Great to see CUSA get some ranked teams again. I remember when on the outside looking in, CUSA would have regularly ranked Top 25 teams, which one one major attraction of CUSA. Hopefully, Top 25 rankings becomes a regular part of our conference again. Sure makes things fun, and being a UNT fan since 2005, I haven't experienced the excitement of playing conference foes with Top 25 implications.

This my absolute favorite ranking/prediction website. You can't get much more accurate than these guys. They have exactly predicted our record in the last 10 of 19 seasons, and only off a game or two for most other seasons. To give you an idea of just how accurate they are, for the last 19 seasons, we have gone 76-143, and their predictions for these 19 seasons were 80 - 139. You just don't get anymore accurate. They even predicted our massive turn around last season - they predicted us 9 -3 (we went 8 - 4). Now for the good news: They have 8-4 and ranked #61 in the nation for this season. The bad news is that they have us losing to Texas by 15 points. They have us squeaking out a win against SMU with loses to UT, Indiana, Rice, and unfortunately UTSA. Wednesday night notes (UNT helmet hint?)

Give me a break. "Daddy's boy" hasn't played but 6 downs or something like that since he arrived at UNT so if this is a conspiracy then his father would be most unhappy. I bet most people critical of our coaching staff selection of QBs were also yelling and screaming about DT. Boy did everyone (including myself) get that wrong - DT took us to one the best seasons ever in UNT history. Let's trust in these coaches. Do you really think that they would suffer a losing season just so they can play favorites with QB because they know someone's dad? These coaches spend every waking moment trying to figure how to win. I am confident that they are not playing favorites, but instead pick the best QB through evaluations in practice and game time situations.

People make these posts about our QBs like they had a chance to personally evaluate them. When and where and how did you make this determination that he is the best choice for QB? Decision making is at least as important as physical ability in the QB position. How did you evaluate that too?
