Our defense is keeping us in this game. We've also had a few fortunate rolls of the ball, which often don't go our way. Another UNT opportunity for a TD wasted. Man, we were on the 3 yard line!!!!! We have to put those in!

They usually only show Mean Green events. I've heard that we have a streaming video agreement with a couple of other universities such as ASU. But typically, they only show our home games.

The UT game is what did it for me.

I think you should call the athletic department and tell them that chrisfisher and the entire UNT coaching staff do not know how to properly evaluate a QB, and that DD should put Tune in so GoMeenGreen.com members can evaluate him. That sounds like logical reasoning. Yes, I have enormous confidence in the United States. We will overcome anything thrown at us. I am not sure what your statement "thinking and making bets isn't comforting" is suppose to mean? Perhaps you are projecting??

My point is that we would not find out how good Tune is by playing him right now. He'd get thrown to the wolves and look worse than Wilson or Meager. He needs time to prepare. Moreover, I think our country will be around long enough to use Tune's red shirt. If fact, I'll bet the home, savings, and anything else I can find if you want take that bet.

We actually played good football for 2 or 3 quarters, but then "stuff" started to happen: (1) The score was 16 - 10, and we were marching down the filed to take the lead, and Meager missed a wide open receiver that resulted in a interception. (2) UNT special teams fumble. (3) Driving hard on ASU, and Meager trips twice and fumbles once. Drive ends. (4) Penalties, and more penalties (5) one non-call where the ASU QB was clearly past the line of scrimmage.

Bad, bad idea. Let's not follow down the same path with Tune as we did with Meager. Why waste a red shirt on a losing season? I know it is painful to watch us play, but a quick fix answer to our "offense" is NOT ruining another QB's career by throwing him in before he is prepared and with o-line that cannot protect him very well.

Dang, Kenny Evans hasn't even coached the game yet and we're already throwing him to the dogs. I am very interested in DD's statement above. Actually, I am quite pleased to see this as I was worried Kenny would ask himself the very question DD told him not too, and coach a un-instinctual game. Good for DD. Kenny has the opportunity to make some changes here. Hopefully they'll work and bring a fresh new perspective to our offense. Come on guys & gals. Before we start saying how bad we suck before the game is even played, let's see what Kenny has to offer. Kenny has been in the situation once before, albeit D1AA, and took the team 7-0. GO MEAN GREEN. BEAT THE HELL OUT OF ASU.

I think these numbers point out just how important our OOC games are. Home wins (we won first home games in 05/06) are simply NOT good enough. How else would you explained a 6,000 - 9,000 drop in fans between opening home WINS and the next home game? Obviously, if they only paid attention to home (or SBC) games, they'd show up because all they know is that we won last time they came out. It appears that a large number of folks see us getting hammered in many OOC games and don't bother to show up for home games no matter how well the Mean Green might have played the last time they watched them.

With DD stating he will be back in a few weeks, I seriously doubt the coaches will be brave enough to work outside the "offensive game plan" that was already drawn up. Had Kenny Evans taken over the for the rest of the season, however, I think we would have seen a different approach by him and RF.

I thought about it all week. Let's start Wilson, though I could easily accept the argument that Meager earned it. I think we start Wilson and if he doesn't look razor sharp, we yank him and put in Meager. We are half way through the season. There is no reason as to why Wilson shouldn't come out gun's blazing, while at the same time not making stupid decisions (like throwing interceptions). I am not a big fan of having QB's look over their shoulder the whole game thinking one mistake will kill them. But we cannot afford to have 3 interceptions against ASU, or any other team for that matter. I VOTE WOODY WILSON for starter.

I agree. We do not need to waste a red shirt QB on this season. Let's wait until next year with a fresh start as well as 1 season under Tune's belt before we bring him in. Meager was already put through the ringer by starting before he was ready. Let's not repeat the mistakes of our past.
