FIU has a streaming video option on their website.. $9.99 and you have to cancel else they will bill you monthly. They have a "limited time free trial" of this video service, but I sure couldn't figure out how to get it. I just went ahead and purchased the $9.99 option.

I know some folks were upset with our one point overtime win over ULL. However, ULL nearly beat a very hot South Alabama team last night. In fact, ULL outscored South Alabama in the first half and only lost by 4 points in the end. It appears now that the overtime game was a good win versus a much improved ULL team.

I am new to college ball so I don't know much about the NBA draft. Does Rich Young, Calvin Watson, and especially Kendrick Davis have any chance of going to the next level?

Western Kentucky was invited to the NIT last year (and South Alabama went to the NCAA tourny).

We were handed some great news last night!! Louisiana-Monroe lost to Florida Atlantic, Louisiana-Lafayette lost to Western Kentucky, New Orleans lost to Middle Tenn., Arkansas-Little Rock lost to South Alabama, and Arkansas State lost to Troy. Everything we needed to happen, happened last night. We are now only 1 game out of first place and tied with New Orleans and Ark State for second. I hope the momentum from the Louisiana -Lafayette continues forward in the rest of our schedule. We have a legitimate shot to win the Belt.

AND especially since ULL were a 4-12 team (never mind they gave WKU a run for their money tonight [oh, I forgot, WKU is a highly overrated team by some posters on this board])...good post Green To The Bone.... just keep coming to the games and having fun...our team played hard and had nothing to be ashamed of. I can't tell you how we will end up this season, but I am enjoying the ride.

My brother has a 17" computer monitor (not slim, but the bigger older one) that is in great shape that he is trying to get rid of. Probably just a VGA input. Would this work? I'm sure I could get him to donate it.

I guess your point is that we should be 13-3? Well, we are 12-5, which is close - though we haven't done as well in conference. I see this argument everywhere in posts for basketball and football. I would love to have that conference record (and expect/demand that we do/will); however, this logic is makes no sense because for the few here and there Cinderella stories that you can point too, you can find 10x more examples of where a new head coach did not have an immediate impact. The typical road map to success usually takes multiple years due to a number of factors including attracting quality players to a struggling program. Yes, JJ has been here 6 years, but from what I've seen, heard, and read he has turned the program around considerably (excellent record at the Super Pit, quality transfers, etc.), though we haven't had the "big one" yet. If it were up to me, and it isn't, I'd give him until the end of next year so we can give his excellent transfers and several good young players a chance to develop and become a cohesive group. I want to win as bad as the rest of you. I am only at UNT for 2 more years until I leave for internship and want to experience a championship season, but I think letting JJ's plan play out one more season is our best chance for success at this point. If we get buried the rest of the season, my opinion my change at that time.

You spoke my mind Emmit01 on last nights game to supporting the team. I am not ready to slam JJ or the team. I want to keep it as positive as I can so I can actually enjoy supporting my team. Baring a complete team break, I'll suspend my judgment on JJ until I see the end result.

In Sun Belt Conference play, everyone, even the losing teams, step it up a notch. Any team can beat any team on any given night, especially if the better team does not play at 100% of their ability or even just has an off-shooting night. I really hope this win pulls the team together for the remainder of the season. This is the spark they needed. I hope they take advantage of it.

Damn that was an exciting game. I can't believe that near half court ULL shot. I also thought he made it. I was listening to the radio show on the way how. Hank said that you could see the red light on the basket quite clearly in the picture the refs saw for the review, but that the camera man only caught the tip of the ULL shooters fingers... just enough so the refs could see the shot; otherwise they would have to give the shot to ULL. Wow! Also, KD really pulled this one out for us! Big game for him. Our players seemed a more cohesive group tonight. Our bench was cheering on their playing teammates. I saw alot of hand slapping, support, and all around team play. It seems that JJ may have swung the offense just a bit to conservative. I hope our outside shooters pull up for a few more shots.

I won't be the tail gate early, though I think I'll be able to come by before the game. I started at the Medical school yesterday and they are already piling on the work and one test next week.

It seems like nearly every time I check up on football threads, there is a new story of someone committing or thinking about committing to UNT. It sounds like Coach Dodge is already having a major impact from what I can gather, and he has been on the job for less than a month. This is going to get exciting.

I don't see a coherent offensive attack. We throw it around the perimeter until the first person who is open takes their shot and misses.

I'm watching video but it isn't super clear. I want to know how they can have 4 or 5 blocks in a row with no contact and fouls?? If our big guys even raise their hands up while the other person is shooting, they get hit with a foul.

For some reason he has been starting Howerton??? For some reason, Ruffin and Mangrum are getting a bunch of minutes. I am confused with Jones' strategy today. It doesn't look like our big time shooters are playing together. They basically each take the first open shot they get.
