Wooden starting out very strong!

The announcers said they have green/white trim.... at least they have that I guess.

We have a new road black uniforms... said the players have really wanted to wear them and that Coach Jones thought that this was a perfect game to do it after the emotional home loss.

Women win in OT.

I was just looking at ULM roster. It looks like we have a small size advantage. Their biggest player is 6'8" though they have several of them. If this is true, look for another big game for the Williams/Wooden duo.

Women up by 5 with 2 minutes to go. Go Mean Green women!

There is no doubt it will be a hard fought game by both teams. I was reflecting on how many close games we've had this season while typing this reply. I looked up some quick stats. It turns out that 5 of our 8 losses were by a TOTAL of 8 points. And 3 of these 5 losses happened in overtime. And at least 2 or 3 of these we lost with 2 seconds or less to go. I too am worried about this game as the Mean Green have not faired well recently on the road, especially in those that go down to the wire, which I think this will be that type of game. I wish your players good physical health and thanks for stopping by our board.

The way I see this is that ULM is statistically due for a home loss and we are just the team to give it to them

Hey Keith, I checked meengreensports premium and didn't see the game listed. Sometimes they will add it late (crossing my fingers). I checked the ULM website and they only have (1) live stats, which can be found here and a live radio feed which is here. Of course, if I am going to listen to audio only, I am going to listen to the Mean Green radio broadcast. Hope this helps.

If you try real hard, I faith in you that you can figure out what noun "it" was referring too. Drinking? You answered a thread about our first 4 star recruit with a random fact that was not asked for nor required. Perhaps you should consider putting down the bottle.

JJ believes that we are going to win the SBC tourny. Last night in his interview he said that their goal all along was to go to the NCAA tourny, and that he believes our team is an NCAA caliber team that can win some games in the post season. We'll see...

You guys crack me up. If he didn't call the time out, y'all would be railing about how he didn't use his last time out to set the proper defense. McCallob hit the crazy three DOUBLE TEAMED. Tough, tough loss. I know, I was there and have a hoarse voice. Believe or not, I am very encouraged by what I saw tonight. Our guards were really struggling, but we played big time strong to the post. When UNO has 21 points off of 3 point shots, and we have 3 points off of 3's late in the second half.... and only down by 2 points...you know we have been grinding it out. The reason we lost the game was not b/c of poor coaching, but our guards inability to hit their shots tonight. Had they come remotely close to their averages, we would have whipped UNO handily given our huge performance by Wooden/Williams.

I'm certainly no expert, but I thought we played a fantastic grind it out basketball. Moreover, I thought we had a big time post-game tonight. The combination of Williams/Wooden is a one-two punch. You can really tell that Quincy and Wooden have bonded and are really feeding off each other. These two will dominate the league next season. Sorry I don't know who Gales is, so I can't comment on that. I do think JJ has done a great job of developing this team over the season and correcting problem areas as they arise. What really killed us tonight was that our guards had an uncharacteristically bad shooting night. Had they shot even remotely close to their averages, we would have easily won and put together the most complete game of the season.

No doubt that we were a different team without the dual Williams/Wooden threat after Wooden left the game. I really hope Wooden is able to play tonight and the face mask won't affect his game. I know if I broke my nose, I'd be hesitant to make fast, inside moves, face mask or not.

Has anyone considered that the over rated chant facilitated Courtney Lee to foul out from him trying to hard and to "shut us up?" I bet the coach did use it as a motivation tool; unfortuantely for them, it didn't work. They lost the game.

Unfortunately, I doubt this will the case. Thursday games are much smaller crowds, presumably because it being a work/school night. Try to bring as many friends/family as you can! I know I will there!

Game day is fast approaching. New Orleans is one of three teams (the other two being ArkState, UALR) that we owe a big pimp slapping too. I can't wait to play them tomorrow at the Super Pit! I want to make this a very unpleasant experience for them from start to finish. I want to run them out of town with a big smack down on the score board as well as an earful to remember courtesy of the Pit Crew and students. On another note. Some interesting match ups from our West division that have implications for our standings: Louisana-Lafayette vs. ArkState, MTSU vs. Louisiana-Monroe, and Arkansas Little Rock vs. Denver. A UNT win against New Orleans, a win by MTSU, and loss by ArkState places us in a tie for first with Louisiana-Monroe (we play them this Saturday!). If ArkState wins, we'll be in a 3 way tie for first. In either scenario, we will be listed in first place given our better overall record. I am especially looking forward to playing the Arkansas teams on our home court. We are a completely different offensive and defensive team since our last meeting, and I want to send them home crying to their mommy.
