I agree. If week one is any indicator, then Cusa is a weak conference this season. That presents opportunity for us nonetheless.

It might have been a scheduling thing.... we only have 3 or 4 games that are not televised currently... we have games on BeIn, ESPN2, and ESPN3.

I am with you. Although technically a national broadcast, this not a true one with national broadcasters calling the game, etc. My guess is that it does not pay well either... BUT, this is better than nothing, and is still a valuable way to continue to get UNT football exposure to the public. We have enough alumni that if most would tune into the game, the television networks would scramble to sign more true national games in the future. It just boils down to viewer head counts for them.

I really appreciate the coverage that Vito does. However, his writing style seems to always belabor a point for months or longer.

I remember back in the day, we all decided that his nickname in this forum was something like, "Ramon I can count all of the plays on my ten digits Flanigan" Still brings a smile to my face.

I hope your right. Josh White was one of the better players in UNT history, IMO. I loved watching him play. He was unstoppable, even when amongst the trees beneath the basket.

Ya. That's ridiculous. Players can't take good shots, even if an open shot, if they are not in rhythm and/or playing out of control. They obviously do not understand what they are supposed to be doing on offense. My guess is that they spend 90% of there time working on the "defense" that Benford always talks about but never materializes.

More announcer quotes, "I have not been impressed with North Texas offensively. They are very undisciplined." I like these guys. Our coaching is so terrible, announcers can't help but point it out.

Announcers just said, UNT taking fast, silly shots, waisting opportunities, and playing right into Charlotte hands. They actually said our play is "silly." that's a quote.

Getting blown out by a mediocre Charlotte team. I can't watch this garbage. Turning off the game at halftime unless something changes in a hurry. To painful to watch.

This is the same old Benford garbage-style play. We actually have some excellent talent on the team, including a McDonald's All American, but Benford coaching so terrible he makes his players appear as those they have no skills or talent. Our players can't play with confidence because we have no coherent offensive strategy, not to mention horrible defense. Please, please, please AD, end this nightmare. Fire Benford. This is his fifth year, and he is incompetent and destroyed our once blossoming bball program. Announcer says, UNT helping Charlotte with quick shots and turn overs... then says, "This is looking like the streets of New York." Street-ball is actually a compliment for Benford.

Can't physically return because I live in S. Texas now. However, I never stopped supporting the team since I left Denton. The games are hard to watch on TV/internet, but I nonetheless subject myself to watch our horribly coached games....

I sure do. I was in a PhD program from 2005 to 2010 and then a post-doc year in 2011. It was joy to watch the program grow into a regular 20+ win team with regular NCAA tourney appearances...and 4000+ in attendance at its peak with even more with a quality P5 opponent. My daughter and I probably missed 10 games total from 2005 to 2011. We were pit crew all the way with the crazy green hair, t-shirts, etc. I thought when I moved from Denton that our bball program was all set, and I was proud of the minor role we played in the team's success via our consistent attendance and support. So sad to see where it is now.

I was thinking the same thing. If they can't beat UTEP they don't deserve it. However, one additional game with related practice time would go a long way to helping this very young and new team....

Poorly produced game. Bad camera angles, and now no sound for an extended period. Why on earth would you place the main game camera around the 15 yard line??? Makes no sense whatsoever.

UNT website shows game at 3pm, but CUSA TV shows 7pm. Anyone know the actual kick off time?
