We moved up to #117 in the Sagarin. Oddly, enough we are now a few slots ahead of UTA. Our strength of schedule (#76) versus theirs (#335) probably justifies that.

Sagarin had them ranked at #133. Their record was not that great; but they had the 16th most difficult schedule in the nation and still managed to pull out a couple of wins. We were #147 at the time of the game (the UTA loss really dropped us in the Sagarin, but the RPI guys have been more kind with us in the ratings). If that was a home game for New Mexico State, then Sagarin predicted a NMS win. If not, it was considered a toss up.

think about beating them is all we did....sorry GMG1999... we lost to FAU (and Troy)....... we had FAU beat for most of the game, but couldn't hang on.....

hehehe.... my wife is actually really cool about sports.... we only get out together 2-3 times per year b/c of my graduate school training... and tonight was special for her, so I had to respect it....

I just realized... Dennis put up 21 points in 16 minutes.... holy sh*t!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Reviewing the stats... free throws saved our ass (we shot 88% in the 2nd half, and 78% overall for 23 points at the charity stripe) .... what a refreshing change this season... Collin Dennis had a FANTASTIC night too.... I am so glad that he is back in the picture.... we've really needed Dennis since he injured his ankle..... McCoy got 0 minutes tonight (rightfully so given his poor shooting)... disappointing... I had high hopes for McCoy...I hope he finds his shot soon (the UT game would be ideal!).

I was at my wife's company party... missed the entire game.... my brother gave me the score until the end of the first half.... it sounded hopelesss... what a big win... I was trying to find some stats to see how we won, but meangreensports didn't have them up... I found tonights stats at NMS's website, which can be found here.

Congrads FAU..... I thought Troy could represent the SBC better at New Orleans... I hope that FAU can pull it off, and that Troy gets another bowl invite and whips whoever's ass that may be.... consistency really plagues the SBC... CONGRADS FAU on the Conference Title!

My wife's work party is tonight. This is something she gets her hair and make up done up professionally, buys new clothes..... you get the idea...this party is a big deal for her to say the least... Unfortunately, I will miss the game tonight.... major disappointment. I already asked my wife if I could bring a small radio with an ear plug to the party and received a stern "not a chance" with cringed eye brows.
