27-17 Mean Green up 10!! We've dropped 7 or 8 3's in 7 minutes.....White, Willingham, and Thompson have all registered 3's...

This is going to be a fast, breakneck, fun game... we dropping 3's like crazy, but it is still a close game.... White is looking great....not sure of the score...

game ended Troy wins 73-62....

damn... foul fest now.... I hate it when teams do this knowing there is no chance of winning....

65-55 Troy with 4 minutes left.... not sounding very good for the Mean Green ladies...

Women down 59-49 to Troy with 7 minutes left... looks like the men's game could start on time....

My bad... I completely forgot about the New Mexico series.... we actually won two on the road out there... how quickly I forget.... thanks for pointing this out...edited! definitely first potential conference victory!

This will be a very interesting game tonight. Don't let Troy's record fool you. I watched the Troy/WKU game a few nights ago... it was a real battle and could have gone either way. Troy frequently applied a full court press and took (and made) a ton of 3's. We've had mixed results handling the full court press and guarding 3's, especially on the road. I will be watching tonight to see if we have corrected, or at least improved, in these areas. If not, we are in for a long night. We really need a road win to boost confidence...... I still predict this will be our first conference win this season... probably a high scoring affair... how about UNT 90, TSU 82.

Denver may be a force this season as they start to learn their new system... they appear to be steadily improving and held Louisana Monroe to 50 points in their win last night.

Haven't seen any TV for this one. However, a video feed, presumably Troy's, is available through Mean Green Sports for premium members.

I am not going to second guess JJ on Knox with all the great recruiting he has done lately...I have to admit though I am a little concerned with our post presence for next season.... I hope JJ has some surprises in store for 2008 recruits.

I say 6 wins... if we even have something that resembles a D1 defense, we'll win at least 6 (and should have this season). How many leads did we blow b/c of the defense factor?

I watched most of the 2nd half. We will have our hands full playing in Troy. This game could have gone either way. Bassett lit it up in the 2nd half and ended up with 35 points or something like that. This game was 3 shot festival. In the first half, I think they said WKU had 19 3's made and Troy had 14. They lobbed up many more 3's in the 2nd half so who knows how many 3's were made in this game. I have to find the stats on this game later today to get the final numbers. What really worries me is that we seem to play very poorly in venues with low attendance numbers... Troy reminded me a of a large high school gym, and they didn't have many fans attending. That could change though since we play them in early Jan when hopefully the students return. To tell you the truth, I'd rather we play on the road in the stadium filled with hecklers (to motivate our team) than an empty venue.... On another note... WKU continues to look beatable. They are a great team, but I still think that we will match up well with them....

Sorry... didn't check back last night... Fox College Sports is in the 300's on Verizon...FCS Atlantic is channel 300. Channels will vary with different providers. FCS is typically only part of sports packages (i.e. paid). Verizon offers the FCS package for $5-$7/month... at least when I signed up 2 years ago....

We play Troy on Jan 3. I'm going to watch some of this game to get an idea what we are up against...

Yep.... we got really silly.... I don't usually hurl many insults out to the opposing team... but since the Pit Crew wasn't there, we felt obligated.... I laughed so hard during the game from fan comments to the TAMIU coaches and players that I still have a headache.... Did we talk by chance?

A freakin' funny story about that last 3 point attempt by McCoy with a few seconds left on the clock......it wasn't bad sportsmanship.....what happened is this..... McCoy was playing defense on a A&M player man near the opposing team's basket..... it just so happened that when this A&M player got the ball I screamed, "McCoy, jacked up another 3 point shot.... I want a free burger!!" McCoy started cracking up while he was guarding that guy....it actually distracted him.... and sure as hell, McCoy shot a 3 with a few seconds left on the clock.... he missed the shot, but made the student body happy for his effort.
