I don't like that about Vito's writing style. He tends to throw in unnecessary negative details in his effort to be unbiased. His stories are riddled with these kinds of statements... and he copies and pastes these throughout the articles. I bet we get to read that exact statement no less than 10 times across future basketball articles he writes.

This sounds like post-game coach speak after a loss, not prior to a game: "“Arguably, the best team in the conference by the way they are playing now on both sides of the ball. We will have our hands full with that, but we just have to keep getting better.”

I watched both CUSA games. I felt like ODU gave away that game.... Marshall dominated MTSU....MTSU has really fallen this season....I know their starting QB is out. Not sure if that explains everything though. CUSA lost it's Fox partnership (they didn't renew), and CUSA has few games on TV to begin with now. CUSA now only has rare ESPN/ESPN2 games (frequent ESPN3 games though), and occasional games from BeIN and CBS Sports.... I think CUSA isn't in a position to hold off broadcasting any game, even if at competing times. We need at least one or two teams regularly ranked in the Top25 to (re)garner interest in this league by the networks. AAC has stolen the show of what CUSA used to be.

Could work in our favor if he hasn't practiced with the team in some time... won't be in lock-step with their offense possibly.... but the whole things seems fishy to me, and an act of desperation knowing they are facing the mighty UNT.

I hope that you and Vito are right. I am a little worried about the rain given our pass-oriented offense.

Awesome. Great for the conference. And great for us when we beat them in the Cusa championship game!

I really hope that we get a chance to play (and beat) a Power 5 program. It's one thing to beat a UNLV or a Memphis but a completely different fan perception beating an Arizona or any other mid-level P5 program.

Wasn't JM was/is trying to get into CUSA? Wouldn't hurt to have espn GameDay on board with CUSA via JM proxy.

My favorite if not available on TV is to play game on ESPN3 on my phone and then ChromeCast it to my TV. It's actually a pretty decent picture on the TV.

Hopefully Wren is reading this thread. It should not be that dang difficult for students to get a ticket... students don't want to deal with nonsense and will just not go the game if there are hurdles and headaches....

It's been several years now since I've been to UNT. I want to grab some UNT gear. The UNT bookstore used to be the place to go. Is that still the case? Or better selection at the stadium?

I know UTSA losing against S. Miss is best for us for conference win/loss perspective...but part of me wants S. Miss to win, which makes our win over them even more impressive... then we beat UTSA and that gives them 2 conference losses...

My wife surprised me with tickets the UTSA game. We are about to purchase our single-game tickets (we live in Corpus). My question is, can you see the field unobstructed if in a Row 1 seat? For example, Section 105, Row 1. Or should I go higher up to be able to see the entire field? My concern was that seats near field level have their view blocked by players.

I sure hope that they students show up for this game!

Had we beat Iowa, they would be concerned with us... Instead, UTSA beat Baylor...I'd be more concerned too with UTSA if I was USM based on those outcomes.
