I think that was one of our best defensive efforts in the second half all year.... and recall that our starting bigs sat a fair amount of this time due to foul trouble.... believe it or not, Hogans and Howerton played a big part of that...Hogans is a mad man... I love it... he gets these pissed off looks if someone even touches "his basketball."

I'm keeping my eye on the Denver/FIU game... Denver has been up 9 points the entire 2nd half.... 2 minutes to go... really hoping for FIU to pull this out...

So far so good on the SBC conference play tonight... everything we needed to happen, happened except 1 game that is being played now... FIU vs. Denver.... GO FIU!

I really want us to move in the SBC Western Conference standings.... I hope that the stars align tonight and all the teams in the West lose, except of course for the Mean Green. There's a chance this could happen when you look at SBC games tonight... Ark State vs. WKU, ULM vs. Troy, ULL vs. MTSU, FIU vs. Denver. WKU will take care of business for sure.... ULM vs. Troy is a toss up.... MTSU is coming off a nice win against us, but ULL has been tough in conference play. FIU just beat New Orleans so has a chance against Denver. I'm pretty amped up about tonight's game. I reeeeaaaaaaaaaaly hope we win this one at home in front of a good student crowd.

For the first time this season, there are actually links for tonight's game plus future games for Live Stats. Live Stats is a service, that as name implies, that gives us live game stats. It's hosted by a 3rd party company and I've seen their media player.....it is really cool. This is really nice, especially when listening on the radio. Here is a link to Live Stats.

Our team has been saddled by injuries and the flu, which made for 3 rough losses....but I'm going to go out on a limb and make one of my first predictions of the season... Mean Green will win tomorrow... JJ & Co. will have this team ready to play like it is the NCAA championship game... Wooden will see more action. Dennis and White will have a huge games..... it will be very hard fought, but Mean Green come out on top 74-72. Moreover, the win has the potential to turn things around for the final 10 games of conference play.....

I gave up on beer a while back... $8.00/6-pack (plus tax) for any half-decent beer... give me a break!?! geez....beer is very cheap to produce..... I can purchase a 1.75 liter of world class Vodka for under $20.00 that will last me a month. Even a nice 1.75 liter of wine can be had for $10-$20.00 now. And I think alot folks felt the same way, as beer sales have fallen for a while... though I heard they recently saw a boost in sales for the first time in a while.... the beer industry can kiss that sales boost goodbye if prices skyrocket as many people will be off to the liquor store instead.

it sounds like Howerton is having a good game! I been a critic of him for a while, but I have to admit that, as of late, he's played much better ball...
