We really need this win!

This isn't a popular opinion and I can only speak for last night, but the talons in the first row were yelling, or more accurately, screaming their asses off during WKU free throws.... one girl would let out this terrible, screeching I just had an ax murder come after me scream....it was so loud it overpowered the entire student section yells.... it was awesome. I credit several missed free throws to that horrid scream alone... I hope she makes it out to the next game!

I disagree wholeheartedly with you in your reference to the conference title being an impossibility.....in fact, they were saying this kind of stuff last season about this same point not knowing we were headed to the NCAA tourny.... I hope you are making the same mistake, though the road ahead does admittedly look rough....

UNTflyer... they are talking/laughing about your graphics on the WKU boards here. By the way, we have a more or less healthy team this week.....WKU doesn't know what is about to hit them...

I had so much fun with the USA predictions thread last week, I thought I'd get one started with WKU..... And please, I welcome predictions for a loss as much as predictions for a win... makes for more interesting reading and commentary... I promise not to blast you either, though I can't say that for the rest of the posters I'm actually much more nervous about the WKU game than I was for the USA game. For some reason, I felt supremely confident we'd beat USA. I have that "feeing" again with WKU, but it isn't as strong. I definitely think this will be a higher scoring affair than the USA, but not by much... I have Mean Green over WKU 78-74.

I forgot about Willingham too.... dang memory isn't work well today... too much on my plate at school right now.... I am hopeful that Hogans will put on some weight too... but I'm telling you, if you haven't seen him play in person, he plays like he is 6'10" 250. Hogans doesn't give an inch under the post... will a big heart, instead of a big body, be good enough for Hogans if he stays under 200? I guess that remains to be seen.

I like Scout's ranking better than Rivals so I'm going with theirs.

Good point... actually, if Knox has 1 scholly (forgot about him), that only leaves 2 available... which would go to Babb and Flemings... so i think that leaves 0 if we signed both. This a real conundrum... Knox is a "project player" so we could have problem with our bigs... I anticipate Odufuwa (6'8") and Stewart (6'8") or Hogans (6'7") to start with Howerton/Knox backing up. We are still a little light on the bigs compared to the past 2 seasons. Do you think two 6'8" and one 6'7" bigs could take care of post? What if we go to a smaller guard oriented line up like the NBA, would this allow us to sign Babb and Flemings with Odufuwa/Stewart/Hogans handling the post? I am still perplexed as to why we offered so early to a project player (Knox)... I hope JJ is right on this one. I was beginning to Howerton (another project) wasn't going to work out, but he is really stepping up this season... maybe Knox will too.

How great it would it be if we signed Chris Babb and Roderick Flemings!?!

I forgot to mention that FAU plays ULM tonight, but with ULM's crappy conference record it doesn't have near the implications of the FIU/ULL game.

ULL visits FIU tonight in SBC conference play. As many know, we are tied with ULL for 2nd place in the West. I am hopefully that FIU can do us a favor and knock off ULL tonight. ULL up 17-15 with 7 minutes left in the first half.

I'm at work so I can't check my TV guide... however, the Fox College Sports picks up many WKU games.....the only downside is that most cable companies only package FCS as part of a sports package for additional cost....
