has anyone else heard about this??!?

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned already, but a friend of mine who plays football for Hardin Simmons told me that their D-Line coach, David Rausch, is leaving Hardin Simmons to come help coach our d-line.. its kinda ironic because Rausch graduated from Abilene Cooper, and we all know what kinda relations Coach dodge had w/ abilene cooper right now

maybe we can let TD coach basketball too

ok I guess I should have given u the correct formula for this to make it more clear.. but, Sturns averages roughly 20 minutes per game (we'll give him that to make the math easier and it will also make him look alittle better), but he has 66 total turnovers, you divide the 66 turnovers by the 20 minutes per game he plays and he averages 3.3 turnovers per game.. now you look at Bell's turnover / minutes played (because we all know Wooden isn't going to be running the point) and he averages 30.5 minutes a game but only has 53 total turnovers, which again you divide the 53 turnovers to the 30.5 minutes pergame and he averages 1.7 turnovers per game which is pretty darn close to twice as much.. I guess if you are pretending that everyone plays the same amount of minutes then the turnover math might become confusing, but if u use useful stats it can be pretty easy to figure out

finally a decent idea, atleast that would make sense and not leave the crowd and the media wondering what the heck is goin on..

ya I guess I forgot about players who are retiring, they did the same thing for Cal Ripken, Mark McGwire, and other notable sports figures when they were retiring, but Staubach has been out of the league for almost 30 years now, and has had nothing to do with UNT what so ever besides talking to coach dodge once a couple of years ago.. why didn't we do a tribute to Craig James last season when we played SMU?

Staubach should not be honored by UNT.. he has never had an affiliation with this university, i'm not sure he even knows this university exsists, and besides the idea is just strange.. that would be like us playing Pitt and them honoring Mean Joe Green, it just doesn't make any sense? With the exception of Jackie Robinson, i've never seen another team honor another team's former player.. Now if we decided to do an extended halftime or pregame ceremony honoring people in our armed forces (past and present), I think that would be a very nice touch and I believe the people who support the Navy would really appreciate it too

if you look at turnovers / minutes play then yes that is almost twice as much.. no funny math involved oh and 44 assists to 66 turnovers.. those are stats that make me want him to get more P.T. at point guard

I agree no use in argueing with these guys.. havn't u learned that if you havn't been a mean green fan for more than a season you arn't qualified to have an opinion? even if you have most likely seen more games then the person attempting to argue with you this season

I see Denton product, Jarvis Moss is on there.. he is sure to have a bright future $$$

ya u throw out all those stats but forget to mention that Sturn's turnovers OFF THE BENCH are almost twice as many as the person in 2nd with turnovers.. I like sturns and I think he will be a huge key to our success next season, but right now he should stay as he is, a spark off the bench..

ya all those were because of JJ.. he was telling Bell to shoot stupid 3's, why'd he have faith in KD? I mean he has only hit ALL of our big shots! take him out in a close game JJ dang it!! and i'm sure he told williams to go on there and miss all of his shots.. damn JJ when will he learn?? North texas NEVER gets out played, they only lose because of their coaches!

hmm we are 3-0 against these 2 teams including a win at the place this is being played at.. not too shabby

ya they have a 11 game winning streak, and we are 1-5 in road confrence games so things don't look good early, but you never know with the mean green
