They should make a shirt that has an alien wearing a mean green uniform standing in a helicopter, and in one hand he has gun, and the other a football and then have fire coming out of the back of the helicopter (to make it look fast).. then at the bottom have a dude wearing a navy uniform, and he just has his jaw dropped like whoa, and at the bottom it says "Beat Navy"

sweet my old alma matter.. I hate to pirate a thread, but how does the future look for Gainesville athletics?? it seems like they had a real down year this year, but that tends to happen when you have wide spread coaching changes..

what is he going to be speaking about?? or is he just going up there to shoot the breeze?

Offense all starts up front, just ask the Oakland Raiders, or Arizona Cardinals about that.. the line looked decent at pass blocking yesterday, but when we ran the ball there were 3 guys in the backfield by the time the RB got the ball... I just hate seeing the RB get the ball and his first move is into the fetal position

wow 13 assists per game as a freshman in high school.. I'll keep my fingers crossed on this guy

1. I'm not sure, he had a logo on his helmet, so there is a chance he might have been here last year and just changed numbers (could be wrong, maybe his head just grew) 2. I liked the way Meager looked, besides his first two series, he really seemed the most confident in hitting the short routes, and showed he could hit the long bomb when the oppurtunity came up.. Phillips looked pretty good too despite the INT he threw.. Tune made some good passes, but looked alittle slow to drop back and seemed to want to go deep too much.. Wilson did alright, he had a couple of overthrows, but besides those he looked good, I liked the way he was always the first guy to greet the qb when the offense came off the field, that shows a good team mentality despite the competition.. over all I would rate the QBs 1. Meager 2. Phillips 3. Wilson 4. Tune , but really I don't think anyone really has stood out as the clear leader in who will be starting this fall 3. J-Mo didn't get many touches, and when he did he was often swarmed by the d-line before he had a chance to make a move.. the scrimmage was prolly 90% passing though too

I was at the scrimmage and was impressed by how well the offense seams to be grasping the new spread / no huddle offense.. I was impressed by Fintress, and I liked the way Cox and #26 ran the ball.. btw did anyone see the block #82 laid on a un suspecting d.b. on the long screen play that #26 took to the 1 yard line?? wow

should be interesting w/ the wet weather.. speaking of which, I keep hearing thunder in the distance, what are the chances of this being cancelled?

I would like to see a helmet with an alien holding a gun in one hand, and a north texas logo in the other, and we should have the alien surrounded by flames, and have a mean looking look on his face just for extra intimidation... thats just my opinion though

I vote to ban the over-rated chant all together.. I thought it was stupid when we were chanting it at western kentucky, and it was even worst when we chanted it to memphis.. no more overrated chant please

Never said I was against the talons, only wished they would embrace fans outside of the organization too.. like I said my friends and I sat in the same seats in the front 2 rows as we did for all the games, then once conference came rolling around we got there early as we normally did to see warm ups, and a large group of talons came and told us we had to leave that those seats were for talon's only.. being new to this school we thought this might have been normal so we moved back a couple of rows, only to see the people who took are seats spent the whole time text messaging and gossiping with eachother the whole game, and toward the end of the game when it was still close they had the nerve to turn around and ask us "what was going on".. come on now they are playing basketball what do you think is going on? and why come and take our seats to gossip?? I guess thats better then having the seats empty tho.. is it? Like I said I'm not against the talons and I'm glad we have organizations like them to help promote our athletics.. I just want my freakin seats back

its not so much as being afraid as it is the talons reserving the first 3 rows for talons only.. I don't think the best seats in the student section should be reserved to a group that only started showing up once conference games started.. I am all for the talon's and their support of athletics, but if certain fans want to get close and get loud they shouldn't be forced to sit half way up the student section, knowing the players on the court can't hear you eliminates alot of the motivation to be on your feet and yelling the whole game..

its hard to stand up and get excited for a game when a certain group who didn't even attend half the games this season reserves the first 3 rows (which includes seats that my friends and I sat in starting w/ Texas College) for their little group.. Maybe if they made those seats first come / first serve fans wouldn't be so intimidated about coming close to the court and getting loud and rowdy.. just my opinion though..

oh I know i've been reading some stuff on their board.. thats why I said "this memphis fan" instead of "memphis fans" in general

I think this memphis fan is just upset because he knows this game was alot closer than the score indicates, and he thought the last few points at the end that made it a 15 point game would lead people to belive they won this easily.. looks like he was wrong, people actually payed attention to the game.. Good game by Memphis though, they played a good game..

We had a pretty good size crowd.. We were just as loud, if not louder than the memphis fans.. I think we had alot of neutral fans on our side too hoping to see a upset

or if we got a rebound when it was 46-40, and the refs didn't help alittle w/ a loose ball foul..

This team won me over the first time I saw them play this year against Texas College, and I have believed in them ever since.. I'm proud of what this team did, and I hope we can build on this experience and do it again next year.. The seniors carried this team when we were stumbling, and became heros in the hears of many of us.. Calvin Watson, Rich Young, and Kendrick Davis are names that will stay in the minds of Mean Green fans for years and years to come.. Goodluck to you guys in the future and Thank you for what you have done not only for this program but for the university all together.. GO MEAN GREEN!!

I wouldn't discount these brackets made by march madness.. last year my friends and I did the same thing on my xbox, and it ended up picking florida playing texas with Florida winning it.. these video games might just know what they are talking about
