Let's try harder. Isn't Army and Navy still out there? MAC schools Ball State and Ohio can easily be split between East and West.
And there is still a chance that if the Big 6 expands further, it will likely destroy the American conference as the ACC back fills after their best members split for the SEC and Big 10. SMU, Houston, Tulsa and Tulane may come crawling back.
