  1. Oh, that will just not do. But also know that the campus is located on state hwy 49. So their mascot is a road sign.
  2. You need to buy some helmets and pads first.
  3. Not to worry, we prefer wenches that have more teeth than fingers.
  4. Conference USA and the Mountain West will continue to discuss a future affiliation that could begin as early as 2013. Both Conferences agreed that adding membership at this time was important and have carefully coordinated new membership plans. Additional expansion remains a possibility. -Press release
  5. Strip joints and indoor plumping. Bring the family, it will be the experience of a lifetime.
  6. I think I made my point clear with the hydrant.
  7. Man, no matter how this works out I hope we always stay in a division with Tulane. I want to make that NOLA trip every two years. AND... I want to see what some of you are like on Bourbon street. I can't be certain, but I think last time I went I had an argument with a fire hydrant and tried to kiss a horse.
  8. Within a 250 mile radius of Louisiana Tech the total population exceeds 6.9 million people. This is larger than the individual cities of Dallas, Houston, New Orleans, Birmingham and Tulsa. =============================== Yeah, well OK... we can play that game too. DFW has 5.1 million in just a 50-mile radius. A 250-mile radius would include Dallas, Fort Worth, Oklahoma City, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio. Total population of the 50-mile radius plus those other cities: 9.8 million My estimate of total radius: 11.5 million Epic fail, Bulldogs
  9. I think this is a great opportunity to grab Army. I said Navy last night but I guess I missed that they were going to the Big East in 2015.
  10. Old Dominion could have another eight weeks to decide whether to accept an invitation to join Conference USA, which announced the addition of five members Friday. The additions brought CUSA’s membership to 13. To add a 14th member by 2013, the conference would have to act by June 30th, commissioner Britton Banowsky said. http://hamptonroads.com/2012/05/odu-could-have-time-mull-leap-cusa Officials at Old Dominion have requested an extension on making their decision, but it is still unclear exactly how long Conference USA will give them. It is also still unclear, when ODU would make the jump to FBS, if they were to move to C-USA. They currently compete at the FCS level, and would need to notify the NCAA by June 1, should they plan to enter FBS in 2013. If Old Dominion does decline the invite, it is said that Middle Tennessee could be the next option. http://www.minerrush.com/2012/5/4/2999520/its-official-conference-usa-will-add-five-in-2013 MURFREESBORO – MTSU is back in the mix for a spot in Conference USA, The Daily News Journal has learned. Today, CUSA officially announced the addition of five member schools for 2013, but the reported sixth addition, Old Dominion, has delayed its decision of both moving to CUSA and the Football Bowl Subdivision (formerly Division I-A). If Old Dominion balks at a CUSA invitation or at least further delays it, MTSU will be a prime candidate to take its spot for 2013. MTSU would also be considered head-to-head against Old Dominion in filling the 14th overall spot in CUSA. And if CUSA further expands to 16 teams, MTSU would likely be chosen. In the latter scenario, Western Kentucky and Florida Atlantic could also be considered. Although there is no timetable on a decision, MTSU’s candidacy for entrance into CUSA is once again alive. http://www.tennessean.com/article/D4/20120504/BLUERAIDERS01/120504006/MTSU-back-CUSA-hunt?odyssey=mod|newswell|text|Sports|p
  11. If I'm reading this right, then yes we would have a chance. We need to promote this model, because eventually it will expand to include all conference champions.
  12. No, we won't. Not sure why this belief remains out there. We already excel at Title IX compliance and have five women's sports with no equivalent men's sport. The only men's sport with no female equivalent is football. We offer a lot of opportunities for women athletes and adding baseball should not cause any reasonable person to question our compliance efforts.
  13. Looking to form a Mean Green team for a summer adult bowling league. Options are Sunday nights or Friday nights at the Brunswick Zone in Denton. Hit me up with a PM if you are interested.
  14. There is nothing in terms of right of way that would accomodate this. As it is, Bonnie Brae is slated to be expanded to 4 lanes from University all the way to 377.
  15. No, it would have been LSU, OK State, Oregon, and Wisconsin. Alabama would have been out.
  16. CUSA is getting a mulligan here, and needs to invite an established FBS program. The only Sun Belt team I would want is Middle Tennessee. Otherwise, C-USA should think hard about inviting Army or Navy. Navy would be my preference.
  17. "I won’t put baseball in until we have a facility." -R.V. Which is good to hear, because Dewey heard a rumor in Hot Springs that baseball is coming but would play in public parks for a few years.
  18. I think that land is larger than you think.
  19. Jered Weaver has pitched a no-hitter.
  20. One of those special baseball things is happening right now. Jered Weaver is pitching. 9th inning coming up.
  21. It is Stanford AD Bob Bowlsby
  22. OK, I just read the UT regents agenda for tonight. They are still referring to a merged conference and the article is calling it the "new CUSA"
