You have to have empathy for RD. He has been put in a very difficult position at the ripe old age of 21. Cannot imagine my father asking me to save his job at that age. It just isn't right. But, it has happened. I just hope there isn't any resentment towards TD from RD going forward. Both of them have done what they thought was right at the time. As we all know, life can be very cruel.

All joking aside, if RV is going to cut the chord, he needs to form a "search/selection committee" made up of one current player, one former player, a few BORs, Bataille and himself. I think making a decision of this importance is too much pressure. If not mistaken, RV basically made the TD decision on his own with Bataille/BOR approval of his recommendation. Correct me if wrong.

Two things will help our Defense going forward: 1) limit turnovers to max of 1 per game or every other game (including protecting the punter) 2) use every scolly we have available on def lineman (this is the hardest position to find quality) + add a couple more LBs. I think we have a nice group of DBs, LBs, OL, RBs, Recievers and QBs. We just have to keep the D off the field as much as they have been over past several years. Keith7, you agree? (have not looked closely at the exact stats but would venture to say the btw INTs, fumbles and blocked punts, we are averaging 3 TOs per game. no way you win doing that)

This season ends Saturday yes. But, next season starts Saturday also. It would be nice to finish/start with a win. Sure would make the off-season more upbeat and elevate confidence going into 2010!

That is correct. Actual scanned attendance for WKU and ULM was approx 4K and 6K respectively. Just stellar!

Totally agree with hopes of a big turnout! It was really cool to see the Navy Cadets two years ago walking through the tailgating areas. If that does not get your patriotic juices flowing, you don't have any. Even though we had a reported 11K turnout for WKU, it was 4K actually scanned coming through gates. Athletic Dept includes all tickets sold for attendance report. Not actual attendance. Seemed like ULL attendance was about the same. I get the feeling that the Team and Fans (message board has gone quite the last two weeks) have mailed in this season. Very sad. Is it going to be any different next year?

My gosh, it is totally rediculous now. The fans go crazy and have a good time. Look at the "excessive celebrations" on every college gameday telecast. Its what they want to create excitement! The players work their tails off to win and deliver a good/entertaining product. Taunting should not be allowed no. But come on, let the kids celebrate a good play.
