Come on over. I got plenty more. Just wasn't TD's time. He may be successful in future but made too many critical mistakes. He had not paid his dues at D1 level. Coach C has with 20+ years at D1/NFL level. It's his time!!!

Besides the 14 +/- players we have lost for the season including KD last week, no excuses being made. In fact, I believe we just went on the road and beat the preseason conference champion pick in their house!! Huge my friends!! Huge!! Let's not be in denial UNT faithful. What we are seeing is real!!!

Under Coach C, this may be a reality within 3 years!!!! Believe it people!! We have a diamond in the rough in our very own hands as we speak!! I sure hope we don't blindly give him away. Any believers out there?!!

Correct, I do not know for sure. But, based on what I have seen and learned from getting to know Coach C over the past two months,that is my opinion.

All of your positive perceptions are correct re: Canales! Additionally, and this is the proof in the pudding, every player I have had a chance to speak to break out in a smile when Coach C's name comes up. They are energized, excited about what he has brought to the team and all seem to genuinely have hope and have recommitted themselves to working. Coach C has quickly brought an attitude of winning expectations to this team. None of them seem to care about the record or past woes of this season. Its like a new season started. Like I have recently stated, Coach C is ready to successfully lead a D-1 Team. It is his time. Question is, will UNT capture his magic or allow him to go elsewhere. I hope we give him this chance and I feel that he will move UNT to a sustained level of success not seen in many years. Given his age, the fact that we give him his first HC job and the huge untapped potential of this program, he would not bolt after achieving success. With the new stadium, administrative committment to the FB program, the revenue would come and so would competitive HC pay. I feel the future with Canales at the helm could be huge!!!

Two things ring loud and clear in this video: 1) the kids love Coach C, respect him and will run through a wall for him, 2) Coach C is in this for the Team (not any single player) and they trust him, see his honesty, and his desire to succeed. These simple traits are what all of the top 20 program coaches possess and is the foundation for the complete success package. Coach C is going to be a successful head football coach in my opinion. Question is, will it be at UNT or somewhere else? Stay tuned!!

What you said + a nice little goin away check from UNT + his free Dodge truck deal, + the $25-$30K qb/receiver camp proceeds + the Under Armour contract perk + four more years of mortgage equity build up since leaving SLC. Not to mention a ton less stress. = Not all bad at the end of the day!

This not confirmed by any means but I have heard that he has already been in touch/had discussions with SLC to come back. As we all know, they are not happy finishing 3rd in their district. I hear that Wasson is a great guy but that does not put W's on the record. If TD in fact goes back, it will be tough to live up to his own standard. Apparently they have had a talent drop since the early 2000s run.

I almost saw that in 1994 at Texas Stadium. The Plano East/John Tyler playoff game. Has to be the most incredible comeback ever in all of football (Stanford/Cal KO return was special too). Only, PE did not win. JT ran kick off back 97 yds with 7 seconds left. Almost a miracle but they do happen!! Thought you might be referring to that game for a minute but the comeback failed.

WKU played a heck of a game! Looking at the stats tells me that they played a good/tough game against the #2 defense in the Belt. Knowing they have a coaching change must have really sparked them to play hard. We prolly cannot assume they will be the doormat of the conf going forward. Also, ASU's new QB looks better than Leonard was. No easy games for UNT next year.

I am a UT alum, have been a die hard Longhorn since birth and have to admit I was thoroughly embarrassed at how the Horns looked last night. I think they should pass on a bowl game (ala ND) after that offensive performance. I don't think this team is anywhere near the 05 team that pulled off the upset. If Bama is not at least a 21 pt favorite, it will be a joke. Pellini and his DC totally outcoached Greg Davis. For a game of that stature and a team not be ready to play is a disgrace. McCoy lost the Heisman last night without a doubt. Sorry TCU. UT should at least share their bowl check with you as a gesture of empathy and decency. As for Nebraska, WOW, they should be happy and encouraged about their future. If they get a QB and upgrade their offense, that team is right back where they were when Osborne left. Pellini should get Coach of the Year. Shu, the D lineman, should win all six awards he is up for. Never seen one D player dominate and influence a game like that guy. He made the Horns O line look like a bunch of JV guys. None of them could block him. After the game, I honestly felt like UT stole the game. Just sickening.

KRAM1 I totally disagree with your blind love of TD. But on the above, we are in TOTAL step. Anyone notice how this whole issue was pushed, sold and now exploited by Al Gore? He is now profiting hugely by his own media campaign. I guess we should all follow this guy since he also invented the world wide web. NOT!!! Gore is another in a long line of politicians in his party that pander to the disadvantaged to gain votes/power and fill their pockets with my hard earned money. I would be willing to bet all I have that Carroll was responding to classless actions by Neuheisel. Neuheisel is the biggest douche bag I have ever seen. I have seen him score with seconds left while up by 30+ points vs take a knee. He deserved whatever Carroll did I assure you. UCLA must have been desperate to hire him. Unbelievable.

wonder if the pool of available coaches is not good this year? seems like there are zillions of assistants out there ready to move up. looks like Charlie Weiss will be available soon!!

RV and staff did a great job of organizing not only the ground breaking but also the game events of the day. Too bad the weather did not allow the parachute team and blackhawk flyover. Even though, it was a great day (except for the game). Kudos to RV team/staff!!!!

Army was not very good. They just barely beat VMI the week before which is a D1AA team. We gave that game to Army.
