Ha! Typo. My point was we need more than 1 out of 10 students to attend the game.

Would you say there was 4k on the students side? So we had 1% of the student population?!? Really? Pathetic. Does anyone think the state fair hurts the attendance numbers as well? I usually have to miss a game a year because of a yearly trip to the fair with some close friends. We try to schedule it around the home games in October, but usually our schedules conflict each other and I have to bite the bullet and miss a game. I'm not saying this is a huge reason, but I think it just adds to the problem. This game will hurt the effort to break the attendance record for a year. Hopefully a win next week and homecoming will save us.

My God! That last dunk was ridiculous!!! I wish he could play right away this season. Could you imagine him playing some of the smaller schools at the beginning of the season?

I do it about 3 times a year. When I started going solo I also felt awkward, but you get used to it. Of course I'd rather be there with family or friends, but it's not easy to get people not associated with the school to go. This year has been easier, but today I was able to get out of something last minute and my friends were all booked up, so I'll be there alone today. Section 104.

I happen to have seats next to a man who's somehow involved with the sound system and making sure it works. He was not happy about it still not working well. So I know they are working hard to fix the situation. Although he was not happy about this he did have a good sense of humor about the issue. His friend was giving him s*** about it and by the end of the night I was jumping in on it we were comparing the connection to one you might have when talking to someone from Argentina on a cell phone.

Yes, the 2 TDs thrown to outlaw and bynes were bad throws, both were covered and both made really good plays. I think dt is our best option for now, but I'm starting to have an issue with him. Has anyone else noticed that he has a tendency to yell at his line and his receivers if they were to run the wrong route, drop the ball or commit a false start etc.? This isn't something I'm necessarily against in certain situations, but he seems to be doing it often and every time I see him do this he turns around and has a delay of game or throws a pick. He needs to worry about hisself before correcting others.

Mark me down as someone who expects a smaller turnout. I'll say about 26,000. The stupid fact is, that hippie children come from hippie parents. So, I'm not expecting as many friends/family to show up to cancel out the drop off from the opening game. But I hope I'm way wrong and the wing tips are full.

Just to make myself clear. I'm not against him putting other QBs in the game, although I didn't understand the change from Osbourne to McNulty, he should of kept Osbourne in to finish that drive. This thread seemed to be saying that McNulty should be playing in front of DT. That is what I completely disagree with.

I agree. Our front seven are so small that our rush defense and pass rush are below average at best. Although! I think we got to the qb and hurried some decisions more than our previous games, some of the blitzes were getting through tonight. Go figure.

But to put a 6'1" true freshman in that I can't remember having thrown a pass this year before tonight? Is he going to run the option against Alabama? Just a huge knee jerk reaction IMO. DT hasn't been horrible this year, he's had one really bad throw last week and he was off on a handfull early in this game. Give him time to fail, then call for a change. People always think the backup is better than the starter...give me the coaches opinion over any of ours. Now, hopefully the 6 or so chances he had to score from inside the 5(2 of which were horrible passes) will curb some of this talk, but I doubt it.

Yes, I saw him going back to my seat at halftime. The dude must have 1% body fat or something. How awesome would it be to be that physically gifted...I'm sure he put in his time in the gym though.

Did anyone notice any? And if so, did you catch any names? On a side note, I saw Tony Mitchell at the game yesterday. Wow! That guy is a physical specimen of the highest degree.

I was thinking she missed calls all night and this isn't me being anti-woman ref, because I didn't notice that she was female until the second half. That being sad, she wasn't good. That however didn't cost us the game.

Yes, I definitely want to play them as much as we can. We recruit Houston pretty heavily or at least we used to and I think it's the second best area to pull recruits from in Texas. It would be awesome if we could play either Houston or smu once a year to develop some sort of rivalry with them.

It was not cramps. He looked to be in some serious pain on the field and was using crutches to get to the locker room after the game.
