I'm glad we lost to them, this way we missed the embarrassment of getting our ass stomped on national tv.

i watched the game after i got home from the game, specifically to see that play again, because i questioned the call at the game (at the game i thought he stepped out prior to the fumble and he might have). he definitely fumble the ball and it went out at the one and then he hit the pile on. which probably would of cost us the game in hind sight.

a majority of the players are white? this keeps getting worse.

That Troy game hasn't stopped haunting me. If we were to get to 6-6 (and I don't think we will), then I'm happy not getting a bowl invite. 6-6 is a step up, it's not a losing record and would be perceived as a decent season by potential recruits. Plus, this way we would end on a high instead of potentially getting destroyed by someone in a fourth tier bowl game and having to deal with that for the whole off-season.

i'm more upset that when they played the fight song after the game it was that drunken sailor version. i don't mind them changing it up during the game, but if it's the last time you play it for the fans for the season it should be the traditional version.

i wouldn't call this year's basketball season "dead-time". we do need baseball to fill in a couple of the months after though.

this was the first game with a new coach against what will probably be a top 15 team and our starters have really only had 6 games together. they looked way better than us, but they've had their system in place and are really good. plus, we couldn't hit anything tonight. we were 22-76 (29%) from the field, 2-17 (12%) from 3 and 5-10 from the line. we almost had more fouls than made shots (20). we won't have a worse shooting night the rest of the year than we did tonight. give this team a few weeks to gel (hopefully less) and i think you'll see a much, much better product. this doesn't bode well for the pre-season nit, but the season will end up where we want it.

earlier this year there was a football game that didn't get aired that was supposed to, but the other handfull of times i used it it worked. i think both ours and this sites video will both come from the creighton feed.

i agree. he actually came off as a bit of a homer to me.

someone tell me again why this game isn't on tv somewhere. was it because it was thrown together after the slots had been filled? this can be argued as the most interesting game to watch tonight. the only two from that list that i can see as being slightly better or more interesting is kentucky/maryland and florida/georgetown. oh well. thanks for the heads up! go mean green!

this is an obvious statement, but he looks like a really good player, very fundamentally sound. his shots look to be hard to block too, using the rim to block defenders, hooks and high off the glass shots. tony will still get a couple though. tony will need to stay away from the pump fakes though or he'll find himself in foul trouble.

While I do agree with what your saying, this is only a part of the issue. The other part is the poor accuracy of DT. His inaccuracy is a huge reason we don't have bigger plays. He under throws slants and long passes and usually throws high on the outside. This isn't constant, but I would say close to half the passes are passes that the receivers have to adjust to and make a play with, not all of those are the faults of the WRs. Plus, he holds on to the ball so long that when he does complete the pass the separation that was created by the WR is gone by the time the ball gets there (this could be because he doesnt trust them to be in the correct spot). Also, he hangs people out to dry quite often. Yesterday he did it a lot, but I attribute some of those to them knowing what was coming and being in the right position to light us up. As far as him complaining/bitching at his receivers, he's always done this. The difference is that now the WRs are doing it back.

they are giving him all the chances they can to proove himself, because he's a first rounder. and that would mean that not only can jerry not draft well in the mid and late rounds of the draft, but he can't even hit on the first round picks now.

We're a better team than we were at those times and we're better coached than we were then also against far worse competition. Defense was horrible, snaps that were unexpected, bad qb play, not making adjustments ( how many times did they have someone open over the middle) bad preparation, etc. With 4 extra days to prepare! Yes, the OU game and the rice games were horrible, but I'll put the first 2 1/2 quarters against those games that I remember all to well. We were outmatched those games, we played piss poor today. Playing badly is what I was talking about when I started this.

the first 3 quarters or until mtsu quit was the worst i've seen in my 10 years of watching our games. unprepared (with 4 extra days to prepare), poor game plans, poor play, no adjusting at halftime, etc. this was bad from the top down. my second observation, i've never seen such a bad game from a single player, that's not a qb as busby had. his day was rough! missed tackles, missed assignments, i think his mind missed the bus to the game. trice wan't much better, by the way. how the hell did they keep getting our safeties manned up on their wr's? but, we won the second half again! oh! i totally forgot about the genius (jason garrett like) call of not going for two to make it a 2 posession game at 38 - 24, but, then kickcing an onside kick??? that was laughable!
