  1. Gave you a minus 1 by mistake. I too would like to hear more about younger Trussell, especially if he's on the defensive line.
  2. My bad, you are correct. I don't like our chances though.
  3. Please stop the wagon analogy.
  4. Rivals says he committed to utsa.
  5. I just saw little Donnie. He might of seen enough...11:37 left in first half.
  6. Thanks! That I can manage! Thank you very much for the info!
  7. That's awesome. I can't get to apogee in time to get the ticket I requested. Where did they say this at? Guess I'm watching another game from the computer.
  8. sweet jebus! was the men's basketball Christmas party last night? they all looked like they were draggin ass and hungover. i'm afraid of the the lehigh game.
  9. Unfortunately, we are begging to get "upset".
  10. first off, this is a class b misdemeanor accoriding to emmitt and he thinks is probably probation and community service. so, if it happened to you i doubt your work would find out about it because it wouldn't make the local news. second, it wouldn't follow you around on interviews for future jobs, because applications only ask you if you've ever been convicted of a felony, not misdemeanors. last, the arrest will show up on their record like anyone else. *now this is assuming you aren't in some department for the cia, fbi, or something like it. this isn't exactly special treatment that they are getting, we aren't ut or ou, they'll get what's coming to them and like any other 19 year old person be able to go back to their life with the humility of getting caught doing something stupid and illegal. if this were a student on academic scholership it wouldn't be taken away from them, would it?
  11. i wouldn't call any of these numbers "outstanding". solid? yes. but not great.
  12. i agree with the fact that he needs an effective qb to be effective, but you can say that about almost any football team. i don't blame this season on him. the point i was making was to show the same things that we are complaining about are thes same things past schools have complained about. everyone wants to say mac is the one calling all these running plays and it seems this is something he tends to lean on, especially when the qb can't throw. canales is a great guy and a players coach and i would like for him to stay because i think he can be more creative with a better qb who can run (like riley during his interim stint), but it's too much of a coincidence that his previous two schools say the same thing.
  13. i was the one who asked the question from that last link. the link that the usf poster provided that was from an arizona board had a quote that sounded very familiar. http://forum.goazcat...ead.php?t=69544 "With Canales the pass was non existent and overall offensive totals were sub 300. Now pass is predominant with 300+ total offense the norm and scoring up from 20 to 30 ppg. Now the offense puts us in the game and provides opportunities to win, whereas, the previous offense controlled the clock but did not score. That didn't keep the Cats in the game. To sit there and call for the reinstituting of an offense that WASN'T working is completely ludicrous."
  14. As I've said before chico has had this reputation at his past two stops as well. This isn't just Mac, in fact I believe it's mostly canales.
  15. he is a tech alum, he got his bachelors from there. as far as being a lateral transfer at best, i think it is a baby step up and a lateral move at worse. tech has been highly ranked a few times and was a win away from possibly being in the national championship game back in 2008. i don't think baylor has been ranked in the top 10 even with the best player in the country in a while (not sure about the beginning of last year). baylor's new stadium is the one advantage i see for them. i think briles would be able to pull better recruits into tech, even though the players that have come out of baylor the last 2-3 years have been really good. he could get better talent at tech than leach did in his tenure. this is just my opinion though and i can see why some might see it as a lateral or lower move, given the state of tech's team the two previous years to this one. i also think he'll have better schools knocking on his doors and might consider them, but will stay in texas, somewhere.
  16. For 5 times the money.
  17. Thie topic made me think the game was tomorrow, even though I thought it was today. I trusted cbl's basketball knowledge though. Why the fuck would there be a game on Sunday? Can't believe I did that.
  18. Tech officials were "blindsided" by this. This was a tuberville decision.
  19. He's a tech grad, so the whole going home thing.
  20. Josh Brent is arrested on manslaughter charges after a wreck this morning where Jerry brown (practice squad) dies. This team is crazy.
  21. My tech friend believes they will throw the kitchen sink at briles.
  22. Apparently he would rather have the cinncinatti job.
  23. which is more difficult to do? picking bad quarterbacks from a good pool of talent or picking good ones from a mediocre pool of talent?
  24. abby was one of those guys who was too big and too slow coming out of high school and with coaching and a weight loss regiment became the player he is now.
  25. it sounds like he's had the same short comings at his previous two stops.
