i know it can happen to any coach at any age, butthe younger the coaches, the higher the chances they would get caught in some sort of situation like this, in my opinion. oh, i've learned that the dc at houston turned kliff down for tech's dc job and so did the lb coach at a&m. less than a month away and they don't have a dc. to transition this back to a unt topic....lets start looking at dt's that tech has on their commit list. *edit*...nevermind, they don't have any dt's committed and only have one defensive commit on their not so impressive list.

Not a chance. One or more of the staff will get caught with a coed or partying with them before they win 8 games. That staff has hardly any experience and hardly any recruiting connections, plus expect their average defense to get worse. They are aware of this, and none of my tech friends like it one bit.

kingsbury has a lot of learning coming his way. not because of this, but because of the staff he's assembling out there in lubbock. basically if you are under 33 and played there then you can be on his staff. last i saw he named 5 coaches and 4 were former players ages, 32, 32, 31 and 27. the other was someone he coached with at houston, i think the former dc. the first thing i thought of was dodge and his crew. i think this hire is going to haunt tech for years.

i think it's been so long since a&m was good that people have forgot how f'n bad/irrational their fans can be.

it's strange that some on this board have have such a hatred for ut and anyone who brings them up, but seem to have their knee pads on for a&m. who the hell cares about a&m? they have been one of the most overrated football schools of the past two and a half decades, until this year. and for the record, i don't like ut either.

give me notre dame. i got a feeling. i wish oregon wouldn't of loss to stanford, so i could have someone else to choose from .

Happy birthday!

I don't consider him "pouty", but he lets things get to him too easily. A silly foul, missed shot, poor pass, etc. gets him down for a minute or two. And he might not be "too" lazy, but he doesn't hustle up and down the court. I don't know what that is called, heart, effort, laziness, whatever, but it's there. Both of these things are there and if you don't see them, then you're not watching. The good thing is he's only 20 and both issues can be fixed. ***edit*** I didn't get a chance to listen to the game tonight, but saw he had great numbers, hopefully this is a sign of him starting to play to his full potential.

I'm wondering what he's like in practice. If he's half assing it down the court during the game, then what does he look like at practice and does that trickle down to the others? I think it's more of a product of how easy everything has come for him, not his character, he can almost sleepwalk in the sunbelt and average a double-double. It seems that he puts forth more effort in the bigger games this year (Lehigh, creighton, etc.), but runs at 80% at times in the other games. Hopefully, he sees some of these articles and makes some changes for the better. Effort is the easiest adjustment to make.

He reminds me of Micah Mosley in high school. He's an interesting kid.

This guy is definitely a man vs. boys at the level of talent he's up against and the weight numbers are legit, there are other videos of him benching 405, squatting 500 and cleaning 300. He knocks the hell out of the ball when he punts, but he looks like he's barely kicking it.

From what I understand, McCoy and hicks are suspended for missing curfew and two other players are being investigated for the assault...they have not been charged yet.
