I'm hoping the Georgia game plan will be something like k-state's. however, I don't think we'll be able to run against georgia like we did against the wildcats and the thought of dt running against Georgia scares the crap out of me.

I'm glad dt took some of those read options and kept them honest to say the least (he did very well). It adds another wrinkle to our offense and the more of those there are the easier it will be for our offense to move the ball.

Wow! I couldn't remember where I put this and didn't think it would turn into this. Sorry for hijacking the thread. I'm obviously painting a&s majors with a very broad brush here and for that I apologize. But all I have to go by are the people/students I know and a high majority of them might wish well for the teams, but aren't willing to go to the games to support the teams. Just my observation. Now, that sample size is only about 8-9 people, so as my stats prof would say that's not large enough to be statistically significant. I was also writing this in a somber mood after seeing yesterday's turnout. Fwiw, I consider rtvf majors their own breed and don't lump them in with the others.

The main reason this bothers me is because it seriously makes me feel bad for the players. No one wants to play in front of a crowd like that, let alone on tv. I think it's pretty defeating for them to come out and see that. That's all. I want better for them, because they deserve it.

I think jimmerson was hurt on the fumble and that's the reason he didn't come back. I think the 3:00 kickoff helped some, because they were in the sun all day. Minus the last 6 minutes of the 4th. Our lines were pretty dominant in the second half (especially the offense) and I think the sun helped.

Wow! First off, I think that should be a fumble, since his knee never touched the ground. So, what was the outcome? Was that the end? After the tech game the other night, this season's officiating has been poor to say the least.

I said nothing about the game...just the attendance. I can't remember the last time I felt this good after a game! Very proud of the team! Not proud of the turnout.

My life is basically my family, friends, work and north texas. So, when someone rarely and I mean rarely has anything good to say and hijacks threads and inserts his old tired opinion in about how we suck, it annoys me. I like to think of myself as a realist and nowhere near a optimist, but he makes me look like Kram after a bottle of Prozac. I've said this before, he's a great fan and obviously loves the school and wants us to do well, but just not all the time with the negative.

Aren't all of us in the same boat as him??? We have all suffered the same losing seasons and lack of support from the BOR as him, but not everyone comes on here and is a constant black cloud. He's a great fan and all, but his song is OLD!

while getting better, I fear our school will never be a great football scene. Too many liberal type people, who would rather be smoking hookahs and drinking coffee than watching sports. It's just my opinion. I know, I know, there are lots of artsy people who like to watch unt football games and some are our best fans, but the other 80% of them don't and could care less. I'm beginning to think that marketing our games to our students would be a waste of the school's money, if they ever did it.

In the beginning of the game I was actually wondering who was behind him in the depth chart, because he once again was taking bad angles in pursuit of ball carriers and it led directly to one of their touchdowns. While the man hits like a Mack truck, he has a few areas he needs to get better in before I feel totally comfortable with him back there. That being said, after the first he had a good game and continuously laid the wood on bsu players.

They also said during that same discussion that while young QBs do well in spread offenses they struggle in pro-style and other more complicated systems. I can't tell you if we have a complicated offense or not, but I do know we don't have a spread offense. Also, mayfield had his first test last night and struggled. He didn't do jack in the second half and really he didn't do anything after the first quarter. I think tech had 3 first downs in the second half. However, that's against a bad ass coach in Patterson. We'll see how he does after getting knocked down, assuming Webb doesn't become the starter.

Tech's first option is out with an injury a rs soph. (brewer). The other two choices were a true freshman and a true freshman walk-on. That walk-on is also a 3* recruit with multiple DI offers, one from mike leach. Not that that's a huge recruit, but not your average walk-on.
