  1. The guy seemed deceptively fast too. I was impressed when he tracked that wr down at the beginning of his film.
  2. Kid looks like a stud! He'd be a great addition!
  3. That's because everyone hates your brother and we already have a white defensive back bringing our secondary down, we don't need another! I kid I kid.
  4. 17 reps would of been the 8th highest number of reps, I was referring to the number of players in front of him.
  5. I don't know exactly why they care, but guys like kiper and mayock pay attention to rep numbers, especially for lineman.
  6. I agree with you, but after seeing the numbers in the vito article....12 reps for a lb is low, 12 reps for a te is low and 16 reps for an ol is low.
  7. one area where our players seem to be trailing players from other schools is in the number of bench reps they do. the player with the most reps at 225lbs today was mccoy with 21, that's really low compared to what the top 15 did at the nfl combine for dl, which ranged from 35 down to 27. I don't notice it during the games and I think coach winstrich (sp?) is doing a hell of a job, but the numbers are low. below is the number of reps for those I heard today and the range from the top 15 in the nfl combine for that position group. brelan - 15 (wrs 23-15) good number for brelan, probably the best in the group today when you take size into account. orr - 14 (lbs 30-23) this shocked me. that's low for a lb. byrd - 17 (rbs 32-19) not bad. *that 32 was thrown out there by a freak of nature though, the second highest reps by a running back was 26. mccoy - 21 (dls 35-27) not that great of a number for a 320 lb lineman. I know longer arms make it more difficult, but when a dl wouldn't even have the highest number reps in the wr group, that seems pretty bad.
  8. Michael Johnson performance's twitter feed tweeted that bellazin posted a 4.7 40 and said brelan ran a 4.46.
  9. boutwell's was 4.59 (assuming with the wind)
  10. those 40 times were timed with the wind. they also ran times against the wind. these are the 40 times I have heard since watching. first time is against, second is with. brelan - 4.57 4.5 byrd - 4.78 4.61 abbe - 5.35 (only one I heard assuming it's with the wind) orr - 4.8 4.71 dt - 4.93 4.84 trice - 4.55 (with wind) *edit I just heard 4.62 also. also, craig Robertson is there and he mentioned his 40 was 4.61 (just for reference).
  11. yes, you need a subscription for the pro-day feed. the feed starts at 11 and recaps the morning tests and shows the 40's live, I believe. still time to get it.
  12. Rarely anyone runs a 4.2. Usually one guy runs it a year at the combine (electric times). No way he runs a 4.66.
  13. I believe Dunbar ran a 4.48 or 4.45 40 at unt's pro day (hand held) those times are usually off by .03 to .05 seconds the men timing at that level are usually pretty solid. That being said, brelan was faster than Dunbar.
  14. will these events take place on the practice fields at apogee?
  15. This is f'n awesome! If you haven't seen this show check it out. It's a cool show and if he does well on it, then I way underestimated Johnny's athleticism (which I already thought was through the roof). Can't wait to watch this!
  16. I wouldn't mind seeing 134's film. Talk about good genetics.
  17. Me either.
  18. Cal Tech, Colorado Tech, Florida Tech, Massachusetts Institute of Tech, India Institute of Technology in Kanpur, ...there are very many "Techs", but I would say most understood who I was talking about. Next time I'll be incredibly specific for some.
  19. I live in texas, so tech is and will always be texas tech.
  20. Those are very very nice!
  21. I believe I said the same thing in my first sentence. Maybe that's what you missed.
  22. My apologies.
  23. I know it's not north texas oriented, but this was a wtf moment for me. The number one dual threat qb committed to them yesterday. http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/recruiting/player-Jarrett-Stidham-151696
  24. Exactly what I thought. Like a thicker, slightly slower Brelan. He always seemed to be getting a few extra yards before going down. Overall, one of the most impressive highlight reels I've seen in a long time.
