A lot colder! And where most of the women are half as attractive and twice the size. My disappointment comes from the fact that they know as much about the our program as anyone and would rather go somewhere else. It seems the "family" atmosphere isn't as big of a deal as signing with a "big time" program. Nick going to tcu isn't as big a deal to me as Chris verbally committing to Wisconsin. tcu is close to home and a good program with a good coach, Wisconsin have those things too, but 1000 mile away. I guess the only thing that will get the attention of this caliber player, besides moving up to a big 5 conference is to put together 2-3 more winning seasons and bowl wins.

I'm bringing two extra and was wondering if someone might have a couple that I could buy off of you? One of them is a friend's mom and hasn't been to a game in over 20 years. Trying to get her back.

Severely disappointing that we couldn't get one of the Orr brothers and that they would take a chance on programs that they only know very little about at the time of their oral commitment. It's times like these that I see how far we still have to go. Where's the scotch?

Defensive Chants/Crowd participation

First, we have closer to 20-25k in the stands, on a good night. So, when 60% are going ape s at a tamu game(probably higher for them) there are still about 55k to make a lot of noise, as opposed to 60% of our attendance. That's going to make a huge difference. Second, you could compare almost any school in Texas to tamu and they would fall short (maybe tech is close). Last, there hasn't been a ton to cheer for in the past decade, give us time. -
No no no no no no no!

I bet proximity has something to do with it, but we also have the type of offense that will showcase o-line talent.

That #2 also looks like a very solid player, very quick with good moves.

I believe that kids might get bored towards the end of a baseball game, but I believe that's more of a reflection of today's kids rather than the game. kid's have a shorter attention span these days than in the past. not that baseball is action packed, but kids have trouble getting through anything that is longer than 90 minutes.

I think it's her producer that is alum and with the Nelson being the local tourney it just made sense. -
That's good to hear!

I don't care.

The five I've heard about were Chancellor (udfa), Orr (udfa), Trice (rookie mini camp invite), Thompson (rookie mini camp invite) and Miller (rookie mini camp invite). As of now the only three that will be invited to camp are Orr, Chancellor and Trice. Do you know of others?

I agree. Not that the kids aren't smart enough, but the school seems to be struggling to meet state standards and such. Plus, I don't think the kids there give us much thought. No info, just an impression I get. -
Damn it!

Then, right after the coach gives the player all this very logical and sound advice the kid will commit to the lower major, because they want to impress their friends and think their coach doesn't know what he's talking about. Then, after two years of scrub play he'll wise up and transfer to North Texas. I know there are some grounded kids out there who can see the big picture, but more times than not they can't. -

So there is a difference between 4 and 5 star recruits and 2 and 3 star recruits, but hardly a difference between the recruits that we and utsa go after. I'm sure most have seen how a offer by a good big xii school can raise a recruits rivals score from 5.4 to 5.5 or 5.6, so for most of our recruits for the the immediate future the recruiting sites aren't very good indicators of good or just average players. -
Then he gave up on him.

I agree. Also, their commits aren't highly rated and most of them either only have one offer or the other offer is texas state. When we start losing regularly to them in head to head battles, then I'll jump onto y'all's worry wagon. We've only had one year of success in the last 10, so I don't know why some are expecting a big difference between this year and the past. -
My 1-6 are the guys I think might have a chance. Brelan gets picked.
