got word from my tech friend today that they are going after banks soon. so, if vito is correct...consider him gone. tech is going to panic recruit this last week. they've had a worse go at it than we have (relatively speaking). they had a few decommits this weekend and have only 15 verbal/early commitments so far. coach bro is struggling.

I voted for rich Phillips, but I think they should move hank to play by play and get an ex player to do the color. I don't know if cobbs was a rtvf guy (probably not), but someone like that wouldn't be bad. I'd like a little more playing experience on the broadcast, to beak plays down. I remember Coleman feeley being personable on that "inside the lines" or whatever the videos were called when he interviewed players a couple of years ago. He would be a little wet behind the ears though.

In his recruiting thread you wondered why I thought he had some issues passing and the only thing I didn't like about him was his throwing motion which you mentioned above. It looks like he pushes the ball and doesn't use his upper body rotation as much as he should. This is obviously hampered because of the short time he's been playing the position. That being said, he looked really sharp in his film, but highlights are just that, highlights. I would love to give him a shot, but it seems like that's not the plan. If he stays at the h-back/te position I think he brings the tools of a James Casey of rice a few years back. And if anyone remembers him, then you know how great of a college player he was and why they created packages just for him. This signing is huge regardless of where he lines up! I like they guy and hope we get him, but he doesn't seem to be a great passer. Now, I was watching junior highlights and obviously sitting out at the qb position hurt him development wise at the position, but is also the reason we are now in the picture. Looks like a great running threat at the qb position though and if he can be even a decent passer could be a ginormous pickup for us. He looks like a bigger Jordan Lynch, but not as good of passer. Someone who would be great for a run first offense.

Word is they will be hiring the DC from U of H, David Gibbs. Word is supposedly coming down tomorrow and it sounds like they are throwing big money at him.

I think this guy is a huge sleeper! Starting with good power already, trim a little fat and add some quickness and this guy could be a slightly slower and taller version of booger. Also, I'm assuming he's had good competition there in Utah. They always seem to produce good interior linemen.
