according to a depth chart i looked up today. hitchens is one and jaylon smith is two and the mlb position. so one would have to move. might not be a good fit here. also, dallas doesn't have a ton of cap space.

absolutely praying for his health for here on forward! this excites me very much!

DRC (updated): Kason Martin talks about committing to UNT
Green Crazy replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
https://swcroundup.com/news/2017/6/20/wednesday-playcard?utm_content=buffere4c18&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter.com&utm_campaign=buffer A few observations: Manvel had a lot of very good high school talent on the roster. The Mavericks play in a very good district with solid teams from Fort Bend, traditionally good program Texas City, Galveston Ball, and Galena Park. Add to that the fact that they played 6A powerhouse Pearland and defending 6A State champ North Shore in non-district action. The Mavs beat both of those teams. Martin has a long throwing motion, that includes what we call an elongated holstering action where he brings the ball off his shoulder, down to his hip, and around to get into his motion. He tends to leave his feet on throws. This may be because he's trying to throw the ball hard, with more velocity, but its counterproductive. He's accurate (shockingly he didn't throw an incompletion on his highlight tape). But what we mean is he throws the ball to spots well, where his receiver/pass catcher can make a play. Martin moves pretty well in the pocket. Throws well on the run. He struggles to set his feet at times, he looks very robotic, not fluid. When he wants to he can uncork it. He throws with accuracy while throwing with velocity. This isn't to pick on anyone, just saying others disagree. -
i thought that uf had done this as well, but all i could find is the fsu throwback to 1965.

'18 WR Chritauskie Dove Jr. (Denton Ryan)
Green Crazy replied to GMG24's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
I'm sure he loves and gets along well with his mom, but I think most kids want to put a little distance between them and their parents at this time in their life. -

I actually think going to the same school as your mom would be a negative for us. Hopefully not. -
i thought they did that at the kick off cook out thing?

UNT 2017 QB Recruiting update
Green Crazy replied to TheReal_jayD's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
I'm just not as sure as you that he's peaked in scholarship offers. I'm a realist myself, he's probably not going to get offered by multiple big fives, but I'm not going to throw out hso's like I'm worried he's probably not going to receive another fbs offer. Or I'm sorry, imply that he won't. -

My apologies. You only implied they suck for us because of no other fbs offers. Better? -
UNT 2017 QB Recruiting update
Green Crazy replied to TheReal_jayD's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
Shouldn't matter. He likes to state his opinion of recruits at this point of their career. Which is fine. He says they suck. That's his final answer. If they end up getting scholarship offers when they are in their senior year (crazy I know) then he's stuck saying they suck. -
Suck it up and support your school/team. :)

DRC: (Updated) UNT picks up commitment from Cole Brown
Green Crazy replied to Brett Vito's topic in Mean Green Football
Get your green on, Cole! -
you were correct, sir.
-
just from brief twitter stalking, Syptak gives no indication of committing anywhere. also, is that every ivy league school but harvard on his list of offers? he must be kinda smart.
-
seems like the only option from the offers 247 shows.

18' OT Kylar Cooks (Liberty-Eylau) - not rated
Green Crazy replied to UNTLifer's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
for some reason i don't think this guy is committed anywhere from the 2017 class. maybe he and kylar can come together. ;) we were in his final 3...at least on this we were. http://www.scout.com/player/195497-lagaryonn-carson -
Breaking! UNT land Juco Center
Green Crazy replied to TheReal_jayD's topic in UNT Football Recruiting
thanks for clarifying this. i didn't see mention of it elsewhere and started doubting that they were. also, just from seeing the size of the Mose family on twitter. they should increase the attendance significantly by themselves. ;) also i'm pumped about possibly starting a pipeline to euless trinity. -
That's horrible to hear. My condolences. In my opinion, this year is looking up for football and both basketball programs! Good to have you back!

I think everyone is glossing over the big news here. That's none other than David Von Erich top, left corner. I didn't know we had two Von Erich's letter for us. Greatness!

2017 Graduates- 2 Free Season Tickets
Green Crazy replied to DentonLurker's topic in Mean Green Football
If they are resold then that's someone willing to pay to be at the game. If the recent grad uses then, good. If they sell them to someone at a discounted price and they use them, good. If no one uses then, it's a push. So, win, win. -

the nfl hasn't adopted the rugby style punter like the college level, but i could see that benefiting the winds in the meadowlands.
