Bean was great tonight. If we are going to run the ball first and pass off of that then Bean would be the option. If we go with the offense we've been running since Littrell has shown up, then I still think Aune is the best. Maybe this is what our line would have looked like in the first four games had we been running this offense, but it's probably more the muts defense. I said at th beginning of the season that I expect the QB’s to be switched out through the whole season, not because the were both good, but because they were both average. I hope Bean proves me wrong.

I don't think I've seen the Murphy brothers on the sideline the last three games. Last two for sure. Also, I haven't seen Rucker and Kason Martin on the sideline in as long of time.

I was going to mention how well Simpson has been. Only think I would change from your post is that Shorter isn't on his way, but he is already there. Really bummed about his injury. Speaking of....any word on his leg?

Looks like Mooney has been replaced for fgs.

Is every tweet about the football team a big deal? In the grand scheme it doesn't matter, but I guarantee you that some of our recent uniforms have played a part in getting some of our recent recruits. Just look at the pictures that the recruits/commits take in the uniforms when they've been on campus. Spoiler alert, they usually aren't our green and whites. The tweets are not only for the fans, but the recruits too. I think you're just mad that it's a thread on here every week, because you probably aren't on Twitter. That's just a guess though. 🙂

I agree. After rewatching the game I feel better about everything except the run defense. We gifted that game to them with all the mistakes we made. Bad mistakes, but mistakes that are easily correctable. Aune's first fumble is just carelessness with the ball in the pocket and I'm sure it will be worked on in practice. The second fumble was on an zone read play where the running back is our 4th string rb, Smith. Not saying it was the rb's fault, but that they probably haven't had too much time together in the backfield. Darden's pass was underthrown, but possibly should have been caught. The White pass was overthrown and could have been caught but only by making an exceptional catch. I put that on Aune. Two others were on the wr just not catching it and then he threw a ball way over Simpson's head who he later connected with. This gives me hope for Aune.

While I don't really care if a player is on there phone prior to the game in the locker room, i did have a comment about discipline. I noticed something the other night that I had to double check. We were caught with more than 11 men on the field on defense a couple times, but this one took the cake. In real time I noticed that we had 13, yes 13, players on the field and so did Abraham, but none of our players did. Abraham ran to the center to try and snap the ball quickly once he saw, but our sideline called a timeout. How does one of our players not know there are two extra players on the field? I understand 12, but this was hard to grasp.

You'd have a better time convincing me on Martin than Bean at this point. Bean looked liked he had checked out last night on the sideline, almost pouting. And against smu he missed an easy 7 yard crossing pattern that would have got a first down and basically had to be consoled by a team mate because he got so down on himself. It was part frustration, which I get, but there was also some sort of depression/sadness for lack of better words and that's what worried me. You have to be mentally stronger than that. This is also a knee-jerk reaction from me I've only seen two instances. Just saying the smu thing was something I can't remember seeing before at this level.

This was a shit game. Defense doesn't show any sign of life until were down 3 scores and Aune and the receivers look like they were drunk. Not to mention the special teams blunders and the fumbles. However, I was fine with the play calling for the most part. We went in with a game plan and for the most part it worked. Not so much the running game, but the passing game should have had 5 more touchdowns. We were torching them all night. We can't run the ball outside because our o-line isn't good enough, so we run up the middle and hope out good running backs can break one. The running defense is bad. Not sure how to fix this. Also, I think we should go with Aune. He was bad tonight, but I think he's our best shot.

What do you watch the rangers, mavs or stars on?

Not true. The Murphy brothers aren't on this one and Siggers is 3rd at RB. Those are the obvious differences. At least between the SMU depth chart and this one.

They were out there and one played. Why aren't they putting the names on the jerseys? Is this some way to cut costs?

He and tyreke were both out and I didn't see either on the sideline, so i guessed covid

In regards to the Davis bros line backers injury. I haven't seen them on the sideline, so i think they might be covid casualties. My guess.

Who was it that got hurt early? On the sideline...a safety I think.
