***OFFICIAL UNT vs. WKU GAME THREAD***
Green Crazy replied to Coach Andy Mac's topic in Mean Green Football
I wouldn't argue with that. Unless.....you brought it up after a game that we won and he played well in. 🙂 -

Check my record. I'm not on the Aune bandwagon, but he's not been as bad as you're making it out to be, especially compared to last year. I'm not even saying that Littrell should be here next year but more so because I hope we could find better, not because he's horrible. He's just ok. This team is playing well starting at Memphis. What's the last 3 1/2 years have to do with that? -

Why's that matter now? Enjoy a douchebaging win for once instead of thinking how winning might keep Littrell here. Or how you predicted this team would be dog shit and you were wrong. There are some on this board, you included, who would rather see us lose because it would guarantee Littrell leaves. We only have 12 games a year unless we're good or lucky. Stop bitching about wins. -
Like last year. Keep Harris in the pocket and under pressure. Control the ball with a good run game. Win the turnover battle by +2. And be creative with our play calling.

If it's anything other than a good recruit committing then I'll be let down.

I thought this was a brilliant play call from Littrell
Green Crazy replied to cousin oliver's topic in Mean Green Football
It was the jumping into the wildcat right before the snap that I liked about it. Which I'm sure confused the defense for a bit before the ball was snapped. Then there are variations that can be run off this look. Aune could have given it to Horton on the reverse, Aune could have given to Horton and thrown back to Aune or another WR, Addaway could have kept it, etc. Part of me thinks Bloeche was calling this game to give Nutsack different looks to prepare for next week. Just my opinion.- 8 replies

It wasn't excessive.

Yes, he was running down the hash marks on the press box side. I will say I can only assume he caught the extra point and ran it onto the field because I noticed him when he was around the 30 yard line on the north side and still had 70 yards to go. If the students had shown up then there definitely would have been someone with video.😆

Yes, I've been thinking about this all day. He's starting to open up the playbook finally or realized we need misdirection to be more effective. Can't remember the last time we've had jet sweeps or end around called. Also, I loved the TD play to Gumms. They lined up with Aune behind center and Addaway to his right then had a quick jump reset thing into wildcat formation, snapped the ball, handed to Aune who rolled out to hit Gumms. The 1:24 mark. https://twitter.com/MeanGreenFB/status/1581661250852982789?t=gwt9GE1Vv-fBGhWWBSwBuQ&s=19

Attendance For UNT LA Tech: 16,590
Green Crazy replied to Professor Lambeau's topic in Mean Green Football
1% of students basically showed up for the game. We're saying that only 1% of our students are actually fans? That's pathetic. And don't come at me with how bad we are and how bad we've been. Actual fans show up regardless. It's equal parts not caring about sports, not having school spirit and the team not being good. The students have sucked since I started going to school here in the early 2000s. Even when we're good they can't fill their side which is probably less than 10k. If there was a problem getting tickets then it should be fixed by Wren, but if they wanted to go I'm sure they could have got tickets. -
Nice! If my daughter would have been with me she would have had it all. Their generation's first instinct is to grab their phone and record. I was just enjoying it.

He ran from the north end zone, all 100 yards, past spiriki towards the exit and tried to get around the cops that stand at the gate our players use to enter and exit the field.
-
Oh, it was hilarious! I believe it was after our last touchdown by Horton in the 4th. I think a guy caught the extra point kicked into the stands in the north endzone and then jumped the wall and ran the length of the field with the ball, while wavingto the crowd, through the endzone where he then tried to juke the cops at the gate the players exit the field. At that point the police who were originally going to just walk him out had to wrestle the guy to the ground when he resisted. It was great pretty damn funny. This post by Pavlovs Eagle is the only thing I've seen.

Did anyone get any video or know of any of the guy that ran on the field? More specifically the video of his tussle with the cops?

They sat on the opposite end of my row in 104. I'm not sure they have been to a game before this one because I haven't seen them until this past Saturday or at least not her. She was taking pictures with people for a bit, maybe you take a picture with her and invite her to the "Under the Wing Pub" for a drink and see what happens. Who knows.😉

Those were taken in the second half or towards the end. The student side was better towards the beginning but still sparse. I think some students left and the others filtered over to see their parents in the second half. The press box side was pretty solid. I'd say 12k ish.
